"This company was called out because of flooding in my crawlspace under my house.  I thought their estimate was reasonable. They came the week after the contract was signed. They were very hard working men and very courteous. The french drain was installed along the the back of the house to stop the water from the sloped backyard.  The grading was added to the sides of the house to send the water away from the house instead of into it.   They also worked on my gutters and downspouts to make sure all were clean and working properly.  I paid when the job was finished.  Then a hard rain came that Saturday - 4 inches an hour.  The owner of the company came to check my crawlspace a few hours after the rain stopped. There was some water visible but not enough for the sump pump to come on.  He called me and told me the guys would be back on Monday with no extra charge.  They installed a 2nd pipe to the french drain and added a berm behind it.  They also added more grading to the sides.  I was also told they will also be coming back in March to soften the slopes and re-seed.  Hard to do in January with frozen ground.  Overall we were extremely satisfied. <br />"

"We just moved into a large house in Hickory from New Mexico. We had nothing that could maintain such a huge lawn area. We tried several lawn services and none were punctual (as in not showing up 2 weeks in a row). Across from the church we attend is a home with a lovely yard....well trimmed....plantings healthy.... and a sign that said: Maintained by The Ground Keeper. After the latest and quot;no showand quot;, we drove by the sign and called the number. I got a very pleasant human being who took my number and address and said that Steve would come out the next day to chat with me at our home. Steve arrived as promised and asked me to let him mow the lawn first to get a feel for it before discussing price with no obligation. After finishing (he and his partner did a very nice job), we agreed on a price and a set day for it to be mowed. He also walked my wife and I around our entire yard, told us what every planting was, what care it needed now (if any) and care in the future. His partner offered us options for altering our back yard tree line including tree removal and tree planting. <br /> <br /> Two weeks ago we decided to remove a tree in our back yard and replace it with a crepe myrtle. I mentioned it to Steve and he asked us to let him see if he could get us a good tree at a better price than we could get for the same size. Last week he chatted with me to make sure of the color, size, and price and mentioned that a second crepe myrtle could be planted to balance the yard better. The end result is that Steve and his partner showed up last week as scheduled, mowed the lawn, dug out that big old tree with a small backhoe, planted 2 large gorgeous crepe myrtles and hauled off the stump for $275. We weren't even home while it was being done and it was all done perfectly. <br />"

"After a long discussion he told me I could do the project of installing the French drains myself at a great cost savings which was very nice of him. I did complete the job with great results. Thanks Josh <br />"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Ferguson, NC

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
