"We had Phil from Rafferty Painting here for the last 1.5 days. He made a 5 sided angular box around a fire sprinkler head, covered it with drywall and painted it to perfectly match the wall. He then fixed cracks in the ceiling and painted it to match.(others said it couldn't be matched). He arrived on time, cleaned up after himself and was very friendly and courteous. The final price was comparable to estimates from other contractors and we are happy with his work. I don't know about the other painters/carpenters at Rafferty but I would definitely recommend Phil."

In 1972 we started Sheldon & Sons as a small family run business. For over 50 years we have evolved into a full service painting contractor. "The office personnel were rude. I got an estimate and then I had to wait until a specific person could schedule the appointment. When I didn't hear from the scheduler, I called several times to try and reach her and she was either out of the office or not available. I didn't understand why the office manager who kept taking my messages for an appointment couldn't schedule the service. When I finally got a hold of her, she was unfriendly and dismissive. I thought her behavior was unwarranted as I didn't complain and tried to make polite conversation. There were three painters who came out to do the work. Overall, they did a good job and were very professional. We had our full bath, powder room and exterior door frame and windows painted. When the paint dried, I noticed some areas that needed to be touched up. The lead painter came back and addressed my concerns and touched up the areas and we were very pleased with the quality of the job."

Painting shutters is significantly more economical than replacement when the underlying structure remains sound. With replacement costs ranging from $45 to $420 per shutter plus installation, repainting at $4 to $33 per shutter represents substantial savings. However, if shutters show significant structural damage, warping, or deterioration, replacement might prove more cost-effective long-term.
