"The work that has been performed is substandard and unsafe; the concrete was improperly poured, resulting in dangerous walking conditions. There is also physical damage to our gutters caused during the project. Despite showing us various color options for the concrete, he poured a completely different color without our consent. Furthermore, we received a citation from the city for improperly dumping concrete. The materials dumped were not even from our project but from a separate job down the street. He failed to dispose of our project materials properly and left behind a significant amount of construction debris. To date, we have already paid Mr. Maestas $11,600 of the total $13,200, which included proper cleanup and disposal, yet the job remains incomplete and improperly executed. Yes, there are substantial additional costs due to the incomplete and poorly performed work. We have received quotes from several licensed concrete contractors ranging from $10,000 to $20,000 to remove the defective concrete, repair the damage, and start the project over from scratch. Additionally, while Mr. Maestas and his crew were working, they damaged our sprinkler system, which we had to repair out of pocket for $300, despite the project still being underway. To make matters worse, Mr. Maestas has refused to refund any portion of the $11,600 we have already paid (of the total $13,200), despite the poor workmanship, property damage, and failure to complete the job. As a result, we now have no choice but to pursue legal action in court to recover our money, which will require even more time, energy, and resources."

Within a couple of days, the cement was splitting and separating from the foundation and was left looking TERRIBLE. Now, that it has been a couple of days, I have contacted them, and their justification for the atrocious job was “they were plumbers not cement layers” and couldn’t do anything about it. They did not acknowledge my concern or the fact that this was not mentioned at all before service. When you hire a company, your expect them to complete the entire job with excellence, not just a part of it. Terrible business practice by them and definitely do NOT stand by their customer service guarantee. I did not feel valued, appreciated or wanted as a customer."
