"Doug was very quick to give us an appointment to look at the job and then gave a timely estimate that was Very reasonable for what we needed done. He was promptly on the job by 8:30 am and worked all day long with only a break for lunch. I fully trusted him to do the job and could trust him alone in my home. He cleaned up every day and really amazed me because he used no painter's tape Andy lines are super crisp! He is an amazing painter. Doug is honest and stands behind his work and hes particular with the way it looks. I'll definitely use him for exterior painting!!! Great all around guy with a nak for painting. I have a superb job thanks to Doug and we're sooo happy!"

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Fleming Island, FL

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
