"Excellent experience. Called and he came the next day for an estimate, then scheduled the repair for the next day. Did an excellent repair. When he came, there was an additional post I asked him to replace. Said he would have to come back, as he did not have the extra post with him. But, he went and obtained the additional post, and did the extra post, in addition to the repair we had discussed. Even stained th new post to match the existing fence. Excellent job.."

"Vertex has completed more than one project for me but I especially want to mention the amazing job they did replacing the siding on my home. The whole process was smooth, communication was great and they kept everything clean from start to finish. I’m very happy with the results and would definitely recommend them!"

"Jim has painted two houses for me. He is always on the job making sure that project is done right. I found him very personable and knowledgeable. He is honest and never over-charges for the quality of his work. He also is good about picking up on problems and recommending the lowest cost for solving problems. Recently I had paint peeling under an outdoor soffit and he identified the cause of the problem was with a rain gutter. He found a way to correct the cause of the problem without replacing the rain gutter. He then made the adjustments in the rain gutter with two of his crew and only charged me for the painting. I have a wood deck that has been "painted" by 3 different companies and for each the finish lasted no more than two years. I asked Jim if he could help. He refinished the deck and there has been no paint peeling for more than 4 years now. He has done indoor and outdoor painting for me and I highly recommend him."

"With the remodel, we got full price for our home. The home had been on the market with limited success for 8 months. It sold with two full-price offers after the remodel. The work was very well done, on time and reasonably priced. Reno Renovators has our strong recommendation. Todd provided a final touch-up of the paint and even hauled off all of our old paint cans without charge. All of the workers were very professional, courteous and capable."

FAQs for wood fence repair projects in Floriston, CA

Financial responsibility depends on where the fence sits. If it’s clearly inside your lot, you foot the bill. When it’s right on the property line, state laws—California and Illinois are two examples—usually require both neighbors to split repair costs equally unless you agree otherwise. Check your local rules before scheduling work so you know exactly what you’re on the hook for.

Start by walking the fence line and noting every issue—loose boards, leaning posts, cracked panels. Next, gather at least three quotes from licensed contractors, comparing experience, warranties, and costs. Once you pick a pro, they’ll secure materials, reset posts, and fix or replace damaged sections. A thorough inspection and a qualified contractor keep the fence safe and extend its life.

Straightening a leaning fence costs an average of $200 to $400. A fencing pro will assess the damage, reset or replace the posts, and realign the panels so the fence stands upright again. Fixing the lean early on prevents further strain on framing and keeps the structure both sturdy and attractive.
