"On June 26th just past midnight the compressor unit which sits outside my bedroom window made a whizzing sound followed by a loud bang. I knew it couldn?t be good and after checking a few things on my own, I decided to call the AC company I have used the past few years. I made this call around 1:00 AM expecting to leave a voice mail. To my surprise a live person answered and took my information. Later that morning Patrick called and came by to check and see what could be done. Unfortunately it was bad news. The compressor blew up and a replacement unit would run about $2700. I knew that I didn?t want sink anymore money into a old and inefficient system so I decided to do nothing at that time.
I spoke with Suzette and Todd on Monday June 29th to buy a all new replacement unit. To their credit Montgomery Heating and AC had all of the negotiating leverage but still offered me what I felt was a fair price. Several times during the call I mentioned that I might want a larger sized unit but Todd reassured me that the 3 Ton unit would be best for my square footage. (1250 SF) Suzette even offered me use of the company?s window unit which was a nice gesture.
Brent and Brad arrived at 8:00 AM July 2nd to begin the installation. They were both friendly and professional.
They finished the job just after 4:00 PM. All of the old equipment which was being replaced was removed and there was no clean up needed on my part.
Even though my kitchen was a mess before hand (our own doing) Brent and Brad went through great efforts to prevent any dust from falling as they added the new vent.
I chose to stay with Montgomery because they have offered me great service in a timely manner in the past.

"Carpets were cleaned in three bedrooms and living room area.  The technician was very prompt and polite.  I asked in advance how long the job would take and how long the carpets would take to dry.  The job was completed in less time than they projected (which always worries me a little).  They told me it would take 3-4 hours to dry.  However, the carpet was still too wet to walk on 12 hours later and there were still some damp spots 24 hours later.  Our carpet is a little thick, but nothing out of the ordinary.  They were not able to remove any stains, but I wasn't really expecting that much for the price.  My purpose was to get the carpets freshened up a little.

The owner (who usually goes on all jobs, but was unavailable when my services were performed) contacted me to get details. He refunded the $50 I was charged for removing the logs, and ensured the chimney had been cleaned. He said he would remind his assistants to mention any charge upfront. He asked if I experienced any uncomfortableness with the workers, based on my lower grade for professionalism. I said no, my irritation at the charge for removing the logs colored my rating for the overall, price, quality and professionalism ratings. Based on his responsiveness in checking to ensure the work was done properly and refund of unexpected charge, I would hire again, and recommend him to others."
