Although we can probably do a lot of things we have found over the years. We figured that we can achieve a higher level of customer satisfaction when we stick to our core values and provide the service that we are best at. That is a Five Star Bathroom Solution Project. We love to stay in our own lane.

"All I wanted was a jetted tub (the same size or larger than what I had) and shower doors, That’s it! Regrettably, I went with Five Star Bath solutions of South Atlanta with Lavezza Zanders as my consultant and manager Monty Johnson. What I received was no shower doors at all, and an oval shaped tub that is narrower than the previous tub, this is obvious with even the naked eye. I did not request a particular shape, and I certainly did not request a smaller size. Who the heck would? There is no documentation that I agreed to the tub that was installed specifically, and the contract only states size to be determined at measure. Again, during consultation the same size tub or larger was agreed to. The company responded by telling me that this tub is actually larger than what I had before and to get the proper sized tub, I would have to pay an additional $3000 over the $7000 I had already agreed to pay, and that I had to sign a new contract. They also ordered the wrong size shower doors, so for that I have nothing but holes in my shower. Ultimately, I did not want to sign another contract; I should have been given the proper sizes to begin with. I was given a tub that is 39 inches at its widest point, but my space is over 48 inches. There was plenty of space to put a wider tub without major construction (walls did not need to be knocked down for a better width), this is obvious from the photos. My emphasis on this fell on deaf ears; Monty and Lavezza kept telling me to spend this additional $3000 to get the tub size that fills the width of my space. I then elicited the help of a friend who also has lifelong contracting experience. My concerns were not being addressed and unfortunately, I felt that having a man speak on my behalf would help. On 3 way was Monty, the contractor, and me. The truth came out at this point. First Monty admitted the obvious, the tub is more narrow and only deeper than the previous tub, not LARGER nor the same size! Monty also admitted with the contractor on the phone, that the size, model, and cost difference to get one tub vs another was never presented to me; I was just arbitrarily given a smaller tub! When I asked that they take the tub back and return my $2000 deposit, initially Monty agreed then he reneged. At the end of the conversation, Monty was on the phone cursing at me and the contractor. No one was cursing at him. I attempted to reach The Five Star Bath Remodel Cooperate offices multiple times and got no callbacks at all. For $2000 I got no shower doors and an uncomfortable creaking tub that I didn’t ask for. I want a full refund."

Stevens Painting is a full-service interior and exterior paint contractor serving Atlanta and the surrounding metro area. We are THE painting contractor Atlanta calls on for detailed estimates, competitive pricing and on-time appointments. Whether you’d like to paint an accent wall, or the entire interior and exterior of your house, no job is too small, or too big for J. Stevens Painting. We always go the extra mile for our customers to ensure there is minimal disruption to your household or business. J. Stevens Painting will complete your painting project beautifully and on time.

"I highly recommend Jeff Stevens Painting. I live in the mountains of rural North Georgia, where it's hard to find quality, insured subcontractors. This company not only painted the exterior of my house; I had extensive rotted trim at the eaves of all 4 sides of the house, along with at least 20 pieces of rotted siding, and other trim that needed replacing prior to the start of painting. Jeff's carpenter-painters replaced all of the rotted wood and siding, recaulked the entire exterior of the house, and painted everything. Jeff responded very soon after I reached out to his company, visited my house within a few days of my call, and prepared a very thorough and concise proposal. He also attached a copy of his company's Certificate of Insurance to the email that contained his proposal. This is important because sometimes getting this document from a contractor or vendor can be like pulling teeth. They say they are insured but never prove it. The cost of work was very reasonable and the quality of work is excellent. Anyone who needs interior or exterior painting on the house would be crazy not to, at the very least, solicit a proposal from Jeff Stevens Painting."

"In all fairness, I cannot recommend this company as our experience with them was horrendous and we still have unresolved issues that we do not have the wherewithal to continue to fight the company to rectify. We hired The Painting Company to paint the exterior of our rather large 1.5 story home, which included applying two coats of paint on the body and trim, repainting wrought iron railings, gates, and an exterior wrought iron spiral staircase. We were under the assumption that the painters were employed by The Painting Company and under the supervision of the Project Manager assigned to our job. We later discovered that the painters are subcontractors and the project manager is not on site nor comes to the site to check the work. The first "professional crew" sent to our home consisted of a supposedly experienced painter, a middle-aged woman, and a teenaged boy, neither of whom had painting experience. The painter began to spray paint our home before doing any of the prep work, which would have included replacing wood, sanding, caulking and extensive sanding and prepping of the iron staircase, and properly covering the glass windows, doors and brick patio and plants. When I questioned the painter, he brushed off my concerns, including my concerns about the paint he was getting on my new light fixtures, windows and brick patio. Concerned about the quality of the work and the two unqualified "painters," I asked the painter to stop working and called the Company. The project manager came out and told me that this was a new "crew" and he was unaware that the woman and teenager would be there. He promised that a new crew would arrive the next morning. However, a new crew did not come until 2 days later, and as we were having out of town company and a party over July 4th, the delay meant that the house would be in a state of disarray. The new crew was much more professional, however, they also continued painting prior to doing the sanding and prep work on the wood, the iron railings, and staircase, which meant that sawdust, black iron dust, and iron chips were now all over the new paint. They also told me that they would not paint the removable window grids as that was "inside painting" and there was an extra charge. They also only painted one side of the shutters so the old color was evident between the slats. I was at work when the painters finished the job and that evening, I got a phone call from The Painting Company asking for payment. I told them that I wasn't even aware that the work was finished and that I expected the Project Manager to walk the job with me so we could go over the quality of the work and do a punch list, and also, that I would receive an itemized bill, especially as the amount they asked me for was higher than the amount I believed I owed. And when the bill did arrive, I discovered that they failed to credit me for the second deposit I made, which was why there was a $2400 discrepancy between the verbal amount they asked for and the amount my records showed. Then, the Project Manager did not show up for the walk-through, only one of the painters. As I pointed out areas that needed attention, I got pushback. The painter objected to removing the paint splatters and overspray from the windows, French doors, brick patio, walkways, rubber, thresholds, and light fixtures as he claimed the other painter did it, not them. He did agree to "wipe down" the numerous (too numerous) areas that had sawdust, black iron dust and iron chips embedded in them and do touch-up upon areas they missed. There were also dents in the gutters from the placement of the ladders without cushioning behind them, which he also blamed on the previous painter. As the painter and I could not come to an agreement, I demanded that the Project Manager show up. He finally did, and I went over the punch list with him and he promised that all of the items would be done, including a semi-power wash of the brick patio to remove the overspray and paint splatters. Prior to the punch-llst being completed, I received numerous emails and calls asking for payment, which I found totally obnoxious as the work had not been completed and they were giving me pushback on completing it. As I had to be at my office, I left the oversight of the work to the Project Manager, trusting that he understood my dissatisfaction, and would make sure the work was done correctly. Later that afternoon, I received a call informing me that the work had been done and again asking for payment. I complied and paid in full. I then inspected the work when I returned home and discovered that there are still many areas that were not done. I still have dented gutters, there is a coating of white overspray paint on all of my windows and doors, and I have black iron dust and iron chips embedded in the new paint, along with paint splatters everywhere. I'm also worn out and no longer have the stamina to continue to fight with The Painting Company."

Bathtub or other bath or kitchen surface resurface or refaces FAQs

Refinishing, reglazing, and resurfacing a bathtub all refer to the same process of restoring your tub's surface to improve its appearance and extend its lifespan. However, reglazing refers to the final step of applying new coating, and resurfacing is the repair and new surface application. Installing a liner, however, is a separate process that involves fitting a custom-made shell over your existing tub.

Refinishing a bathtub is worth it if your current tub is structurally sound but has surface imperfections. Refinishing can remove scratches, stains, and fill in small cracks, giving your tub a fresh look at a fraction of the cost of replacement. It can save you around $3,000 compared to installing a new bathtub. However, if your tub has severe damage, large cracks, or leaks, replacing it may be the better option.

With proper care and maintenance, a bathtub reglazing can last up to 15 years. To preserve the new finish, regularly clean the tub with non-abrasive cleaners and avoid harsh chemicals. The longevity also depends on the quality of the workmanship and materials used during the refinishing process. By following these tips, you can enjoy your refreshed bathtub for many years.

Professionals take about two to four hours to refinish a bathtub. Afterward, the new surface needs 24 to 48 hours to cure before you can use the tub. Proper ventilation during this time is crucial to ensure the finish sets correctly. In total, you should plan for the process to take up to three days.

Wait between 48 and 72 hours before using a refinished bathtub to allow the new surface to cure fully. Some modern curing processes can reduce this time to as little as 24 hours. High humidity and cold temperatures can extend drying time, so maintaining a stable environment is important. Using the tub too soon may damage the finish, so patience ensures a long-lasting result.

You should consider refinishing your bathtub if you notice rust stains, chips, cracks, or persistent discoloration that regular cleaning can't remove. If the surface is worn or feels rough, or there are small imperfections affecting its appearance, refinishing can restore its original beauty. Refinishing is ideal when the tub is structurally sound but needs cosmetic improvements.
