"I originally hired Carpet Police to clean the carpets in my house. They were the first to respond when I got on Angie's List. Somehow, Carpet Police got usurped by another company called Arizona Island. Arizona Island did a terrible job and I called Carpet Police, again, to please come and repair the bad carpet cleaning that was done. Carpet Police did as good a job as I could possible expect to fix what went wrong. Alfonso was efficient, friendly, wore his mask when he was inside and I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again."

"When gas lines has to be replaced, all gas heaters were red-lined so had to be replaced.  We were referred to Jaskl Heating and Cooling  and he came and discussed alternatives with us.  We like the den gas heater, as even if the electricity goes out, this heater will work because the thermostat is wireless.  He gave us some good suggestions and alternatives as a way to heat the two bedrooms and bathroom on the other end of the house.  <br /> <br /> Now we can either heat the whole house by the furnace in the winter or use the portable individual room heaters we bought.  We had separate air conditioners in den and bedroom, and he suggested a coil on the furnace to air condition the whole house as we will have lots of company this year. <br /> <br /> This is another fair and honest contractor we have found, and we have several projects we plan to have him work on.  John Jaskl has a good reputation, and we have been lucky to find him."

"They are awesome. I was real happy. I have used them maybe 3 times. I have a 3 bedroom house, and he moved all my furniture, and put it back. He is very accommodating. He had the machine on a truck, and so he extracts all the dirt, and goes with it. He uses really hot steam to clean the carpet and it was nice. He is a nice guy, and he is honest. He is everything you would ask. It was a good deal, and he tried to accommodate your schedule. His name is Dustin Jetmore. The toilet overflowed and Dustin went and extracted the water from the carpet. He went there after he had done my carpet and he went there and extracted the water. It was very nice."

"From start to finish (and even follow-up), hands down the best home improvement experience we have had. We received bids from 4 different HVAC providers. Steve was the only one out of the 4 that completed a Residential Load Calculation (Manual J) and was interested in using our blueprints to consider the installation complexity. We had a complex installation for the attic location, given the low overhead and others just kind of shrugged their shoulders and said "we'll figure it out", while Steve analyzed the space and blueprints to draw up a plan. The other 3 HVAC specialists made estimates by walking around the house and looking at the electrical box and then provided very different A/C tonnage suggestions - ranging from 2.5 to 4.5. Given Steve's thorough assessment, we had the most amount of faith in his A/C unit size estimates. In addition, his cost estimate was appropriate for the amount of work necessary and it fell right in the middle of the other estimates. <br /> The install itself was smooth and took several days (as planned). His workers were thorough and competent.  About a month after the installation, we noticed a rattling noise in the attic unit that came and went when the furnace/ A/C unit was running. We called Comfort Systems and Steve immediately came over to assess the issue. He spent several hours troubleshooting and made several adjustments to ensure the issue was resolved, at no charge. <br /> With the summer weather, we are now using our central A/C regularly and have found its operation to be efficient and low cost. After our experience working with comfort systems, we intend to utilize them for all future furnace and A/C maintenance and repairs. Exceptional service and expertise. <br />"

"Engaged them to primarily fix water softener, with secondary jobs to replace filters in RO System and replace stopper in bathroom sink. The secondary jobs went fine but they could not stop a small leak in the water softener. Retrospectively, if they could have determined that earlier it would have me a significant portion of the bill. I later engaged another plumber to put in a new water softener."

"<p>Marty had come the end of last year to inspect and maintain both furnace and hot water heater.  I needed a report to get insurance stating that both were installed and functioning properly.  I also wanted to know this both for my safety and to keep the cost of running them down.</p> <p>Both times Marty was professional, knowledgeable and easy going.  He clearly explained what was going on and what needed to be done. </p> <p>Also, both times I called the woman answering (I'm sorry I forgot your name) was friendly and helpful.  </p> <p>Thank you both.</p> <br />"

"I wrote a review a month ago which I can't amend, so I am writing this review as a follow-up. I was not happy initially with the lack of follow-up on our project and wrote a less than flattering review. Right after posting that review I was able to be in touch with Noel, the owner. I voiced my displeasure at not being able to be in touch with him for a month while our repair was incomplete. To his credit, he took my concerns professionally and immediately got back to work and completed the repairs. (He was out of the country on vacation for 2 of those weeks.) Noel has always been pleasant and arrived at the house as scheduled. The repairs were expensive but a fraction of what a new unit would cost. Repairs were $2500 for a new fan motor, compressor, freon, welding/nitrogen and labor. I would call Noel again if we need HVAC repairs again primarily because he was a nice person and seemed professional when confronted with my initial displeasure at the long delay between diagnosing the problems and actually getting around to the work."

FAQs for air ducts & vents cleaning service projects in Forest-lakes, AZ

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) states that air duct cleaning is not required unless visible issues such as mold buildup, rodent droppings, or excessive dust are present. When such conditions exist, cleaning becomes essential to protect indoor air quality and maintain HVAC efficiency. This approach minimizes potential health risks and extends the system’s life.

Air ducts must be cleaned every three to five years as required by NADCA to preserve system efficiency and indoor air quality. The EPA insists that cleaning is necessary only when significant issues such as mold, pest infestations, or heavy dust accumulation are evident. Annual inspections by a certified professional promptly address any emerging concerns.

The ideal seasons for air duct cleaning are spring and fall. Cleaning during these periods prepares your HVAC system for the demands of both winter heating and summer cooling. These seasons provide moderate weather conditions that enable efficient service completion while minimizing disruption, ensuring your system performs at its peak.

Professional air duct cleaning takes a fixed duration of two to five hours, depending on the home’s size and the complexity of the duct system. Smaller residences with standard ductwork complete the service in two hours, while larger homes with extensive ducts require up to five hours. Additional repairs may extend this duration.

To prepare for professional air duct cleaning, ensure all vents are unobstructed by moving nearby furniture and clearing pathways. Secure any pets in a safe area and confirm that your HVAC system units are easily accessible for technician inspection. Proper preparation contributes to a higher quality service outcome and prevents delays, allowing the cleaning process to proceed efficiently.
