He added new wood floors to existing wood floors and changed the stairs from carpet to wood. We are very happy with the end result. The floors actually came out better than we anticipated. His pricing is fair and his skill is advanced. Ours was a very large job and he never got stressed out or appeared to be rushing. We would hire him again and we do recommend him to others looking to have their wood floors added to and refinished."

"My husband and I had our entire first floor redone with birch wood. We had birch wood in the kitchen and in the entry way, tiles in the laundry room, and carpet on the rest of the flooring. We wanted to remove all carpet and tile and replace with birch without having to tear out the kitchen and entry way birch flooring. There were a lot of "angled" areas, where the carpet met the wood, and weaving the wood would be tricky. We hired a contractor that James was working for at the time. James was the primary demo guy and installer, and he was able to remove portions of the wood near the angled areas and weave the new birch wood with the old. The results are stunning! James was very meticulous and made sure that every new plank matched the old plank. It was like playing "Tetris"! James is very knowledgeable with the types of wood and how to treat them when installing. We would definitely hire James and his company, ArtiZen Hardwood Floors, in the future for any new wood floor installation and to possibly do a maintenance follow up with the new flooring."

A couple weeks later we had an emergency outside wall that needed a temporary patch job-(a woodpecker had broken through in several spots) Auland covered the holes for us.
