"<p>Rich Krczaczyk will be my electrician as long as I need one.  I had a problem with an outside electrical box that is used for a flag light and a general purpose outlet.  After some 20 yrs., it needed replacement.  Rich came with the necessary hardware and replaced it quickly.  We also decided to replace the circuit breaker as well.  Both jobs were done in a timely and professional manner and for a very reasonable price.  </p> <br />"

"The young man setting up the display arrived early on the day of installation and was finished by noon. He knew exactly what to do, and how to do it well. The night after installation, our house was the attraction of the neighborhood! The display is absolutely beautiful--simple, yet elegant demonstrating impeccable taste. Trust me, if you are going to spend money on holiday lighting, Bright Services is the ONLY way to go! Aside from being the consummate professionals, they are the NICEST people to work with!! Happy Holidays!"

"Having a green home is important to me and my husband. Organic Home understands and works by the same principles--safe, green cleaning products, working in a way that reduces air pollution, etc. They even left us a bouquet of flowers! I highly recommend."

"I go to AC Moore for holiday supplies. It is a craft store that I use. As long as I buy their products, they will not charge to make it. The girls that do the flower arrangements are fantastic. I have bought stuff from somewhere else and have taken everything to them. As long as I bought stuff that she needed to make this, I did not have to pay for it to be made. They have coupons, and discounts. I am very satisfied. Best time to go is in the morning or later at night. They also do picture framing. "

"I have used them twice. What a joy it is to have clean skylights! They were very organized, efficient, pleasant to talk to, and neat. They even cleaned the leaves that were backed up behind the skylights as part of the gutter cleaning."

"We have a very nice 23-year-old house, which has some complicated wiring and electrical issues. We had number of electricians before. This is the third time we are hiring Dwight to do things here and the garage. They were extremely punctual; they said they would be here at 8:30 and they arrived closer to 8 o'clock, line up all their tools and equipment outside the door, so that when they are ready to go, they could just pocket them. Everything about these guys was good, nothing was bad. The workers were efficient. There was one guy who virtually did all of the indoor work in just 4 to 5 hours; I was amazed at the work of this person. Everything they did works like a charm. The outdoor stuff was a pretty big job. He had a couple of guys who did it on separate days. All the guys were extremely nice and they are amazingly neat about their work. They come in to the house, throw down a canvas on the floor so that they don't track in and out any dirt when they are going back and forth to the truck. They were extremely pleasant guys. They kept me informed. They are the most professional guys that we dealt with. The pricing was extremely reasonable, I have no complaints about pricing. We had lot of problems with the track lighting in the gym from the original contractor; we had 2 different electricians to rectify the problem, there was some tricky wiring issues going on down there and Dwight actually diagnosed and fixed it, which is real boon to have rectified a nagging issue. One other electrician had screwed up our breaker box and Dwight guys fixed it for us. He was very quick. He was very relaxed, no rush, no urgency. He came back after 10 days to collect the payment. Dwight is very professional and nice guy. I wouldn't think about anyone else, I would use them again."

"He drew it and took pics of himself doing it otherwise we wouldn't believe even drew it. It looks like a photograph. We've never seen anything like it. He's amazing. He has also hand drawn pictures of my wedding and of my grand father for his funeral service."

FAQs for holiday lighting add or remove projects in Fort Washington, PA

If climbing ladders or handling wiring isn’t in your comfort zone, hire a pro. Look for installers who post clear per-foot or hourly rates, carry insurance, and have solid reviews. Comparing at least three quotes helps you spot fair pricing without sacrificing safety. Skipping credentials to save a few dollars can cost you far more in repairs, so pick a qualified team and enjoy a safe, eye-catching display.

Yes, booking between February and September often scores lower rates because demand is light and pros have open calendars. You might even negotiate a discount package that includes removal or storage. If the budget is tight, ask whether a handyperson or an off-season permanent-light install makes sense for your home and timeline.

Determining the number of holiday lights for your house depends on your home’s size and specific decorative vision. Your project requires 10 to 20 light strands for a basic exterior display, with 100 lights allocated for eaves and an additional 10 to 20 bulbs for each awning.

For trees and substantial shrubs, allocate five to 10 strands per unit to achieve complete and balanced illumination across your property.

Tipping isn’t mandatory, but it’s a nice way to thank your installer for a job well done. Most homeowners offer 10% to 20% of the total bill or round up to an even figure if the crew exceeds expectations. A small extra goes a long way toward showing appreciation—and may help you snag priority booking next season.

Yes, you can install holiday lights yourself if your property layout is straightforward and your electrical system is secure. Homeowners who are confident in their ability to safely handle wiring and use proper equipment can save money with a DIY approach.

However, it is crucial to test all outlets thoroughly and secure the proper ladders and safety gear before starting. Careful planning and adherence to safety guidelines are essential to protect yourself and your home while achieving an attractive display.

Start by clearing the area of loose debris, damaged shingles, and anything that could trip you up. Test outdoor outlets and, if you’re unsure, bring in an electrician. Use a sturdy extension ladder (or scaffolding for very high spots) and never work alone—having a helper steady the ladder is non-negotiable. Taking these simple steps keeps you, your roof, and your new lights safe.
