"Shawna and her team have done a terrific job at providing a quality lawn service over the summer.  We were looking to replace our old cobbled front walk and after Shawna described the thorough and professional installation process they follow we decided to go with her company to do the hardscaping.   We were VERY pleased with the results.  The craftsmanship was top notch and they were very meticulous in stacking the old cobbles away at my request for potential future use.  I would highly recommend Shawna, Chris and the rest of the team for both landscaping and hardscaping.   They are such pleasant, positive people and are a pleasure to do business with.  <br /> I wanted to share "before" and "after" pictures <br />"

"The experience was excellent. Jon showed up on time and was very professional. He did a great job and even when above and beyond by blowing out piles of leaves we wanted removed from the yard. If I need a stump removed or some leaves cleaned up in the future I will absolutely hire this service."

"I was a little hesitant ordering stone veneer for my kitchen through the internet.  Mark at Stoneyard was excellent, sent me samples and help me decide which stone to use. Due to cabinet specifications and width restictions in my kitchen, we spent several weeks back and forth on options and dealers to get me thin stone.  Mark was very patient and professional the entire time. He  ordered all my stone through a 3rd party.  The actual stone took over 5 weeks from delivery, but I was kept in the loop the entire time.  It was delivered right to my door. This is not a simple process of running to the store to grab stone, and definitely worth the wait. I used a mixture of Boston Blend and Colonial Tan, both ledger and ashlar. <br />"

"They were able to provide a highly competitive painting bid on a lead certified job on short notice and reroof half my house at a spectacular price under their competitors.  The work was all done in very quick order between October 1st and when the snow flew, so that I could close on my house back in 2011.  Their ability to pull it together so fast was greatly appreciated. <br /> <br /> I have also called them in the very early morning hours for an emergency roof repair when a storm did some damage and caused a leak, and they were there within the hour.  Not every company moves that fast, but they do."

"We found Mark through the Bangor Home Show. He contacted us right away. He came out to our house and reviewed the work to be done. We sat down, he answered any and all questions that we had. He started the next week. Job was completed in 2 days. After they were through they cleaned up and also walked around the house with a metal detector to make sure they got any nails that may have fallen on the ground. We were very impressed with Mark and his crew. We will absolutely being using Mark again for our new front deck project. We highly recommend him. <br />"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Frankfort, ME

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
