"We finally found a real landscaper after searching for three years. So far we have gone through four different landscaping companies in an effort to maintain and improve the look of our property. Unfortunately they were only interested in cutting the grass, not caring for the trees and shrubbery we already had and not interested (or didn’t have the time) to sit down with us to plan improvements. Ok, here we are now finally talking about a real landscaper. One that I feel good about recommending. Cody Karp Blue Landscapes, LLC. 615-294-9975 I saw Cody and his men working on our neighbors property and asked him to come and speak with us. We explained what we wanted to have done, especially finding a solution to the drainage problem that kept our lower backyard flooded like a swamp. Cody’s immediate response was to recommend a landscape architect who would visit the site, recommend the best solution for our drainage problem and design a landscape with us. This is the single thing that initially impressed me the most about Cody; he didn’t take it upon himself to come up with some BS answer, he brought in a licensed professional when one was required. There has been a dramatic change in our lower backyard; the swamp is gone and with it the millions of mosquitoes that were eating me alive."

"I moved to town and needed lawn service quickly. Found Shawn knowing nothing about his business. His guys are fantastic! Dependable and they do a great job! I honestly didn’t expect them to edge the lawn and clean up but they pay attention to detail I never thought of. I’d rate them a 10 if I could!"

FAQs for landscape soil, sand, mulch and rock delivery projects in Franklin, TN

Topsoil packs your garden with the nutrients plants crave, improves soil structure, and lets water drain at just the right pace. The result is a welcoming planting bed that makes routine chores—like weeding and aerating—far easier. In short, quality topsoil boosts fertility, builds stronger root systems, and keeps your landscape looking vibrant season after season.

If you’re tackling a large area and have room to store extra soil, bulk delivery almost always wins on price. Bags cost more per cubic yard but arrive clean, sealed, and easy to haul around tight spaces or raised beds. Match the option to your square footage, storage space, and muscle power, and you’ll find the most cost-effective and hassle-free choice for your project.

First, measure the square footage you want to cover, then decide on a layer—most gardens thrive with 4 to 8 inches of fresh topsoil. A 40-pound bag spreads over 12 square feet at a depth of one inch. Multiply your area by the desired depth (in inches), divide by 12, and you’ll know exactly how many bags to load in the cart. Using this quick formula guarantees even coverage and a healthy, vibrant garden bed.
