"I contacted Handy Dominick based on the terrific reviews he received on Angie's List. From my experience I can confirm those reviews are well-deserved. Dominick was a pleasure to work with. The quality of the work was excellent and so was the timing. I was under a tight deadline to get my apartment into shape and Dominick fit me into his schedule and then got everything done on time as promised . This was especially noteworthy because in several cases the work was more involved than expected (for example, it turned out that the previous kitchen floor had not been installed properly) and also I added a few items to the project as it went along. Besides the "big stuff" - painting and replacing the kitchen floor - Dominick addressed my accumulated wish list of minor repairs and enhancements. For example, he fixed closet doors that weren't closing properly, replaced a defective bathtub spout, replaced a rusty shower rod, installed a new shower head, Dominick is a problem-solver. He had great suggestions, for example he came up with an attractive way to insulate a heating pipe and upgraded my lighting by finding LED fixtures ("cans") that worked with my old track light track. Additionally, I appreciated Dominick's familiarity with working in co-ops. He was great on providing all the required paperwork - license, insurance certificate, indemnity agreement. And he fully complied with all the co-op's rules regarding work hours, removal of debris, etc. As in any project, there was a punch list at the end (in this case really just a few odds and ends), and Dominick was very gracious and attentive in resolving those items. I came away feeling very happy with the work itself and also very happy with the experience of meeting and working with Dominick and his wife Maria (who handles some of the scheduling and paperwork). I know I am repeating myself but Dominick was a pleasure to work with. With his positive attitude and creativity, he took situations that seemed hard and complicated and made them look easy."

"I used these guys for a remodeling job which included bathroom renovation, some minor electrical work, knocking down and installing new dry wall and painting. Class acts! We all hear horror stories about contractors not calling you back or not showing up on time or showing up at all. Not these guys! Hector, Moises and their crew really did exactly what they said they were going to do. Friendly, responsive and oh yea, solid work! Professional through and through! "After he left the project. The mini split air conditioner that he selected and installed did not work. Upon further research, it was actually low-rated for energy efficiency. I picked a better minister, and he complained about fixing it and threatened to have me repair it, and it took four months to get it replaced. I had to use a space heater for the four months that I waited for the repair. Even though that new mini split was already delivered. We had many arguments, and he used foul language. It was unpleasant working with him and unprofessional to work with. "

"Handymack(Mack Rubio) Handyman services remodeled our bathroom. He removed a single door shower and installed a much larger tile shower. where the smaller shower was he put in tile flooring,sheet rocked the walls and painted them. Also shelving was installed and a door put on. it is now a nice storage space for linens and bathroom accessories. The work was completed in less than a week and we were very pleased with the quality of the work and the expert craftsman ship. We would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a handy man that is competitive on price and gives excellent results. "Finally a contractor that does what he says he will do! Robert made promises and kept them, was quick to respond to questions, got back to me when he said he would, and showed up when he said he would. Robert was very accommodating and interested in helping me with my project. My project was installing an exterior door that I attempted to install myself. I got the door in and working but that was about it. It didn t take long into my efforts to realize that I was in over my head. Robert s task would be to remove the door and jamb and fix my mistakes as well as perform custom carpentry inside and outside to complete the project. So it was pretty much a full install and repair minus my demo work of the old door. Robert worked throughout the entire day (and it was a cold day) with only a small break. He worked for 12 hours! Longer than we both expected, but he takes pride in doing his work the right way even if it takes more time. He was here so long that I decided to help him with small tasks the best I could. Robert taught me a lot and I started to feel like we had been working together for months. He gave me a great benefit of learning tricks of the trade that will be valuable to me in the future. I very happy with how the finished project came out! It is a custom job worth more than what I paid. Excellent work! Robert s price was a bit lower or the same as other bids but Robert s work also included much better materials than the other guys were planning to use. So it was a much better value and I m confident the finished product is better as a result. Robert does every kind of job but his specialty must be doors because it came out beautiful! Thank you!"
