Here at Tipping Hat Plumbing, Heating & Electric our focus is Good Old Fashioned Service. Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, Drain Cleaning and Electric service that is done right, that will last and skillfully completed by one of our hard working, courteous service specialists.
"Very expensive. $600/hr labor cost. Just got a quote today for plumbing and electrical. 2 days of electrical work quoted for $10,000. 4 days of plumbing work quoted for $20,000 Cost of materials is for all work combined is probably $1,000. Roughly that makes $600/hr. That is simply outrageous."

Basement General Contracting. I am the general contractor, and I personally do the framing, tile, and trim. I also use a master plumber, master electrician, and drywallers who perform the work themselves instead of using apprentices.
"I’ve now used Darren and High-Quality Construction for multiple jobs. His prices are fair and transparent and he communicated well. At the end the work is great!"

"We paid Mike D’Angelo’s company All Universal Construction over $32,000 for a basement remodel that was left incomplete after putting our family through an 8-month nightmare of dealing with this business. The contract was signed Dec 2019 and was committed in the contract to be completed in 2.5 months. 8 months later, in Aug 2020, we severed our relationship with AUC after we threatened a lawsuit against them for breach of contract in multiple areas. We had to hire another person to finish the job, which ultimately cost us more money and time. I would be very hesitant to do any remodels with this company without city inspection(s). AUC failed 2 inspections with the city of Westminster with several code violations each time. These failures occurred on both ROUGH and FINAL inspections. Look at the BBB reviews if you want a true sense of how this company operates. Don’t trust the Google reviews as there are a number of employees (ex - James Bayarsaikhan) or family members (ex - Joseph D'Angelo) that have left good reviews, which is simply unethical. Areas they didn’t complete correctly or with poor quality workmanship – contracted ½ bath was never completed, contracted carpet was never installed, contracted egress window never installed, missing window flashing (waterproofing) around an exterior window that was called out by Westminster city inspector, paint overspray on most of our fixtures and windows, unfinished drywall patches in a number of areas, an unsealed shower, poorly installed vanity cabinet, cracked tile in bathroom, chipped grout in bathroom, missing paint/caulk in dozens of areas, multiple doors cut down with exposed hollow cores and many other items. Lessons learned: 1. AUC’s contract asks for 50% down at signing which should have been a red flag to us. No reputable contractor should be asking for that much down at signing unless they are already in financial trouble. 2. Progress payments were not tied contractually to specific milestones. We paid progress payments in advance of work progressing in good faith, and because we paid early our job was left lingering for months. Tie progress payments to specific milestones in the contract. 3. We provided a key and AUC provided a lock box for access to our basement so they could access the job site without having to interact with us. This was a mistake since AUC sent people out on nights and weekends multiple times to work. While we had a baby at home, at night and during the winter, they sprayed drywall texture and primed/painted which led to high levels of VOCs throughout our house for multiple nights while our baby was trying to sleep. Since it was the dead of winter, we couldn’t air out the house easily since it was in the teens at night. We had to specifically tell them no more nights on items like drywall and paint... this should have been common sense by the contractor. 4. Since the drywall and paint was done at night with portable lamps to light up the work area since electrical wasn’t installed yet, the work quality was extremely poor – large wall seams are still showing, walls are bowed out in a number of areas, and the paint job left for us to correct was terrible all the way around. 5. Paint – they didn’t thoroughly clean the baseboards, trim or walls prior to spraying paint. This led to baseboards and trim especially having dirt and debris trapped under the paint, which obviously doesn’t look professional and was not what we paid for. 6. There was a complete lack of foreman or project manager oversight on our job. Their subs came and asked us what they were supposed to do in a number of areas that they should have been proactively managing. Even after bringing this up with them two different times, nothing changed in their approach. [UPDATE] - 11/5/2020 All Universal Construction’s response fits into a pattern of trying to make themselves out to be a victim which is simply untrue. We paid AUC over $32,000 for a project that was contracted to be complete in 2.5 months and they strung us along for 8+ months before we separated from them. The bottom line is that we paid AUC for a product and service that they didn’t complete timely or with good quality. Now they are trying to fabricate a story which can’t be backed up with evidence. There is so much in their response that is untrue that I don't know where to begin. We were never in any financial hardship, we never took tasks upon ourselves and therefore AUC staff were never waiting on us (in fact our contract specifically stated we couldn’t work on any items ourselves), they never “volunteered” work or “cut costs in half” – they did the opposite and added mandatory Change Orders on both 1/20/20 and 2/24/20 totaling $1,347 on items such as unplanned soffit framing, drain line demo, and electrical demo. Some unexpected costs are expected during a renovation, I don’t fault AUC for adding these mandatory items on, these examples are just to highlight additional money requested, and paid timely, by us. We never delayed payments to the contractor, this is highly documented in emails from the owner. There is no evidence that the business can provide to back up their claim that we delayed any payments to them. Summary of timely payments made: 50% down ($17,641.01 cashed by AUC on 1/6/20 before any work started) Change Order ($4,667.45) agreed to scope on 1/20, check picked up by AUC on 1/22 and cashed on 1/23 Progress Payment 1 ($5,880.33) requested by AUC to be paid by 2/21, check cashed by AUC on 2/19 Progress Payment 2 ($6,080.33) requested by AUC to be paid by 4/10, check cashed by AUC on 4/14 Through all of this, we have remained professional with All Universal Construction staff and their employees. The claim that we became belligerent or vulgar is simply untrue. In fact, I can provide text message evidence from the owner himself that he became belligerent and vulgar to us. There is nothing they can provide to back up this claim, and it is unfortunate that they are attempting to slander us in this way. They did refund us $2,268.23 due to work that we paid for in advance that they didn't finish. I have both checks from the owner. The "$3,578 plus an extra $1,000 for COVID inconvenience" is another lie that is easily disputed. I simply want to warn others against using this contractor. If I had read a detailed review left by someone with this type of experience, I would have chosen someone else and sidestepped the disaster that All Universal put us through. Instead of admitting his mistakes with our job, the owner has done nothing but threaten and attempt to bully me into taking my reviews down."

Stellar Remodeling, Inc - Your trusted choice for all your remodeling needs! We are a family-owned business in Denver, offering top-notch expertise in bathroom and kitchen remodeling, as well as basement finishing. Contact us today for a stellar transformation!
"I would highly recommend Stellar Remodeling. Unlike the other companies I was considering, Jack gave me a blueprint of what my project would look like and a price list before his company was even accepted. And when I changed my plans several times, he redid it until I found the plan I liked and agreed to go ahead with the project. He also made suggestions that I never would have thought of to make my project unique. Blake showed up on time and spent long hours working then always cleaned up the work area before leaving. People have commented that his tile work was that of an artist and I would have to agree. I am very happy with the final results and would use them again in the future."

On average, modern washers last between 11 and 14 years. If you use your washing machine frequently (more than once a week), you can expect a lifespan closer to 10 years. To extend your machine's life, service it annually, promptly fix minor issues, wash at lower temperatures, use slower spin cycles, and run full loads to reduce wear and energy consumption.
If your washing machine starts making loud noises during the spin cycle, like a rumbling or grinding sound, it's a strong sign that the bearings are worn out. You might also notice excessive movement of the inner drum during spinning, rather than smooth operation. These symptoms indicate it's time to replace the bearings with the help of a professional appliance repair technician.
A water inlet valve controls how much water flows into the tub, and it helps the tub fill up with water. If the valve fails, it can let too much water into the tub, overfilling the machine and causing leaks, or it won't let enough water in, leaving clothes unwashed. The water inlet valve is an essential component of your washing machine, so be sure to schedule a repair service if it shows signs of failure.
Front-loading washers can trap water in the door seal, leading to mold and mildew, which cause a musty odor. Follow these essential steps o prevent the smell:
Leave the door open after washing your clothes.
Remove wet clothes promptly when the cycle ends.
Use the proper amount of high-efficiency (HE) detergent.
When the belt in your washing machine breaks, the tub won't spin. Signs of a broken belt include a tub that doesn't spin during the cycle or clothes that are wetter than usual after spinning. If the belt is slipping but not fully broken, you might hear a squealing sound during spinning. Belts commonly wear out over time due to stretching or tearing from the intense forces during spin cycles.
Plumbers can fix plumbing issues related to your washing machine, like clogged drain pipes or faulty water supply lines. However, for mechanical or electrical problems with the machine itself—such as issues with the motor, drum, or electrical components—it's best to hire an appliance repair technician who specializes in washing machine repairs.
