"Alex did a great job. Very efficient and also explained all the work he did. Aside from changing my garden shut off valve, he noticed my water filter was not installed properly. He helped to correct the problem."

On the appointment day his crew showed up on time and got my wall oven install very quickly. One of the crew members Walked me though some of the initial setup and then they hauled my old wall oven away. Great experience. Would definitely go with them again."

"On Saturday when I realized our downstairs furnace wasn't working, I phoned ProServ. I was able to schedule a service call for Tuesday at 8:00 AM.  (Since our upstairs furnace was working we did not need an emergency appointment.)
ProServ's HVAC Technician, Alex, arrived on time and began assessing the situation.  He was thorough; testing all of the wires in both the unit and thermostat, plus checking the wiring board, the blower and then the valve.  He showed us the problem with the valve and gave us a price of $570 to replace it.
Our furnace was made in 1997 so I was unsure if it was better to replace the furnace or just replace the valve.  Alex was knowledgeable and patient answering my many questions about the cost of a new furnace and the cost of the various parts in the old furnace.  I decided replacing just the valve was sufficient for now.   Alex had to order the part and was ready to come back at 8:00 AM on Wednesday but we had plans. Alex came on Thursday morning and was done quickly.  He showed us the new part, and tested everything with us.  My husband and I are very pleased.
Alex did not find any problem with the thermostat, nor suggested replacing it.  I decided to replace it now because I had to reset it multiple times when using the A/C in the summer and it was very complicated unit.  Alex installed a basic simple thermostat which is exactly what I wanted.
The total charges for parts and labor was $700, however, I got the Angie's list discount making my bill only $560.  Once again, my Angie's List Membership has saved me money---$140 in savings for just this service!"

"Called Ryan for a small job. He installed a new sweep and adjusted the bottom base to stop a major water repair to the back door. He came on time with the parts he needed. Very fair pricing and very honest. A true craftsman. A pleasure to work with."

FAQs for appliance (microwave oven) installation and replacement projects in Castle Rock, CO

A pro can finish the job in one to three hours. Countertop models are the quickest, but built-in, drawer, and over-the-range units take longer because the installer may need to run a new outlet, modify cabinets, or add venting. Any add-ons can push the timeline closer to the three-hour mark. Hiring a licensed installer ensures the wiring is safe and the appliance operates at peak performance.

Because an over-the-range microwave doubles as a range hood, it needs proper venting. You can opt for a recirculating model that filters and recirculates air back into the kitchen, or a ducted unit that exhausts outdoors. Are you unsure which route suits your cooking style? Ask your installer for guidance before making a purchase.

Only microwaves labeled “over-the-range” have the built-in venting and lighting that’s necessary for safe, code-compliant use above a stove. Countertop models don’t have those safeguards. Before you swipe your card, have a licensed microwave installer confirm you’re choosing the right unit for the space and ensure compliance with local codes.

It’s best not to install a countertop microwave in your cabinets. Countertop models aren’t designed for use in an enclosed cabinet, and blocking those vents can trap moisture or even create a fire hazard. A built-in or drawer microwave is designed for tight spaces. Run your plans by an installer to make sure you’re buying the right style for the spot.

You don’t need an electrician if the outlet already meets the microwave’s power needs and sits in the right spot. In that case, you’re good to go ahead with the installation. If the outlet is undersized, outdated, or too far away, hire a licensed electrician to install a new one and ensure everything is code-compliant.

With routine care, most microwaves last between five and 10 years. To help them reach their maximum lifespan, wipe up spills immediately, wash the grease filter periodically, avoid using metal dishware, and close the door gently. Those simple habits reduce malfunctions and keep the appliance running smoothly for the long haul.
