"Review by John Haugh, Greencastle, PA. Project: remodel master bathroom and make it handicapped friendly. The Conrad Homes work team (Patty and Blake) were excellent to work with and did an outstanding job. They were completely cooperative in taking our suggestions and doing the work as we wanted. I would not hesitate to have them help with any future remodeling jobs we might have at our home in the future. The work done on our master bathroom was clearly superior to the work done on our bathroom by the builder when the home was built in 2010."

"Justin installed new custom banisters in my home--five of them, did a great job!

"We used VKB for a complete bathroom makeover based on positive reviews online and found out how good they really are! This company knows how to do customer service and makes your home more beautiful! Junior was our designer and eased us through the design process. This was our first major renovation and Junior explained each step and what to expect. Jason Ali, project manager, was constantly coordinating, checking and communicating as the work unfolded. And to our delight, Pedro, crew leader, Ricardo, and Jose turned out to be our dream construction team. They were sensitive, polite, and skilled as they worked so hard each day. They kept things as neat as they could and without fail, cleaned up well each day. The project yielded some small problems and challenges but each was identified and solved. We could not be more pleased. Gary and Kate C"

"He's been working for me about 12 years now. They have done everything in my house and rental properties. He did plumbing, additions, HVAC, painting, electrical, and framing. He did everything. He's excellent, always does a great job. He also did a roof for me."

"Great guy, casual approach, does not ask enough questions. As a homeowner, I don't have his knowledge and is up to him to educate a little better. Overall, very, very good."

"We had VKB Kitchen and Bath in Frederick remodel our kitchen and could not be happier with how it turned out. Our kitchen was very dated and we wanted to open up the space, improve the storage, and give it a more modern look without making it feel too trendy. The design process was probably the easiest part for us. They helped us work through the cabinet layout, countertops, backsplash, flooring and all the little details we had not even thought about before starting. Once construction began, the team kept us informed and the crew was respectful of our home. The finished kitchen is beautiful and so much more functional than what we had before. We have been using it for a while now and still find ourselves stopping to admire it. Great experience with the Frederick team from beginning to end."

"Thank you James Im, Antonio and crew for an amazing experience and a job well done! It is rare these days to find a home improvement company that you can trust from beginning to end. AHC staff and representatives ensured that every detail from estimates, to coordinating delivery of materials and quality control of installation was performed to the highest standards and exactly on time. James and Antonio/crew were attentive to our every question and concern, and in the end made the experience with AHC a memorable one worthy of the highest level recommendation. Bottom line: If you choose any other roof replacement contractor - you will be making a mistake!"

"This was a great experience all around.  We looked at Talon and another construction company.  The other company had a hard time "getting it", i.e., what we were looking for, but when we dealt with Talon's designer and partner, they did.
We did get both bids as close as possible in terms of what was being offered.  Talon's pricing was competitive.
The project was contracted for in August 2013, and completed April 2014.  There was some initial delay waiting for utility companies to move the meters -- some of this was facilitated by Talon and some I had to work directly with the utility company.  This was the most frustrating part of the experience, but I think most of the delays were from the utilities themselves.  Washington Gas was particularly hard to work with.
Demo of our portico was finally initiated (start of construction) in November.  The construction crew worked through some tough weather as the winter of 2013-2014 was pretty fierce.  Loss of time due to weather was minimal, though, as unless there was a huge snowfall, they were out there.  The carpenters who were here on a daily basis were competent and friendly.
We couldn't be happier with the final product, and often neighbors come by or stop us on the street to compliment us on it.

"My second time using BK Contracting and I couldn't be happier. Just bought a single family home in Leesburg as an investment property. Bret's team remodeled the kitchen (installed all new appliances, fixed some plumbing and replaced the linoleum floor with tile). The kitchen looks absolutely amazing with the stainless steel appliances and the high quality floor.

He also totally overhauled two bathrooms including the entire floor with tiles, replaced all the vanities, toilets, mirrors and lights. Basically, two whole new bathrooms.

The basement had some shoddy work to be repaired. There were entire dry walls missing and all sorts of weird electrical cabling. Bret's team fixed all of it and honestly, it looks about as different as it gets.

All the work was completed in less than 3 weeks and I was able to place the home on time. Consequently, the home was leased out in less than 12 days to a new tenant and I could not be happier.

Best of all, I had to text Bret at odd hours on a Sunday with a broken thermostat / heater issue, and he promptly responded with valuable advice on what the problem was and how to mitigate it. Not sure who else would have given me free advice on a Sunday.

Overall, a huge fan of BK contracting. I had a flooding in my personal home earlier in 2015 and BK Contracts totally rebuilt my basement (insurance claim) and it looks so much better than before.

Bret's a real gentleman and a man of his word. He has always stayed very close or below his budget estimates and I know I will be using him for future renovations of my investment properties.
