"Frances is pleasant to talk with and was punctual and responsive. My problem was that he's probably too busy. When I received his invoice, he charged me for the recessed lights that *I* had already purchased and then I had to prove myself by showing him the receipt. He charged me 2x the Home Depot price for Romex (which I had 100 feet of in my garage, ready to go). He put in dimmer switches that didn't match the coloring of my house project (old switches were almond, new switches should have been white) and then indicated he thought I wanted almond color since those were in other places (so were the white!). He should have asked what color I wanted, but didn't and then didn't offer to replace them. This experience left a bad taste in my mouth, I'd not hire him again."

"Juan refinished my teak patio table and 6 chairs which had been badly neglected. I wasn't sure they could be brought back to life. But Juan restored the patio set beautifully, at a very fair price. This was not an easy job - the chairs backs were slatted and difficult to sand. The before and after pictures show the outstanding job he did, including some minor repairs to the chairs. The pick up service was especially helpful - teak is heavy! I'd use him again in a heartbeat."

"He came late to my house. He had said 7:15 and he came at 7:20. He put in 2 air conditioners when he said he was going to put in 4. He said that the other air conditioners did not work, and I thought that they did because I had plugged them in before he came. He said originally it would be $115 for all four and he argued with me and said that he had quoted $150 and because he did not want to put in the other two. I gave him $75 because he said he had greed on $150 for four. He was angry and yelled at me. He scared my son and I had to say that I would call the cops. He said to pay him then and he would come back after I bought two new air conditioners. I said no. I do not speak good English and had help to translate."
