"I recently completed a large pool and deck renovation project with Surfside Pavers. The work involved the setting of more than 2500 square feet of large format 20 mm and 10 mm porcelain tile. The job was quite challenging for a variety of reasons but particularly because of the multiple elevations and the many complicated angles involved. I have to say it was executed to perfection. Surfside’s attention to detail was exemplary. I never saw anyone setting tile without simultaneously verifying their work with a large level. As a result, the tiles were all perfectly aligned with one another and the drainage of the deck was even better than promised. I particularly want to thank Keith Spalding for overseeing the project. He always made time to explain their plans and intentions and patiently answered my many questions. "I would have rated them top notch but their follow up fell way short. Everything was great until the very end. they rushed to finish the job and go to the next one, and when their representative came to collect the money I showed them that the last part of the project which was putting sand down between the bricks to fill them up, was a bit scant and needed more sand. Being that they had been so trusting that I was going to pay them up until then, I accepted their word that they would have the crew return. So I paid them and they never showed up again. I personally put down another eight bags of sand to at least help with the appearance. Hopefully they understand that the final appearance of the job is important."
