We searched for a paving contractor with an excellent reputation and after receiving several estimates we selected O. Cooper. We were unable to physically be onsite to go over the project but that didn't matter as Billy suggested we meet via FaceTime. He arrived at the property on time, and we were able to walk the project virtually discussing our vision and expectations. He promptly provided us with a very detailed estimate of the work to be performed along with a price quote. Once onsite we were impressed with the obvious preparation, coordination, and execution of the project. We are so pleased with the way the driveway turned out and are grateful to O. "Got an initial contract that came down to $7/sq. foot--twice the going rate. When I complained, got a second contract at $3/sq foot. Easy to schedule. Workers arrived promptly and laid a good-looking driveway. The second week after had an 87-degree day. I came home to find the motorcycle kickstand sunk 2" into the asphalt, which was so soft I could peel it back with my fingers. This makes me wonder about the quality of materials used. H&F promised to fill the hole within a week. That was 30 days ago. No one has come, and they've stopped responding to mails. The terms of the contract hold them not liable for anything that happens after a year (fair enough). If I come home to find the car sunk in asphalt next summer, there will still be time to take this to small claims court if needed. Hope the asphalt will have cured more by then."
