"We recently expanded a deck, added a patio cover, and are putting a hot tub underneath this second floor deck. There was a concrete patio below the existing deck and we wanted to match that, w/ reinforcement for a hot tub. We got a couple bids for the job. Danny was the estimator that came out for Forest and he seemed knowledgeable and was punctual and professional. It was not the cheapest bid, but the company is much more well established than a couple others we consulted so I put more trust in their work. Rigo is the guy we needed to work with on scheduling etc. for concrete work. This was a little rocky at first, but that had a lot to do with us needing to postpone the start till our deck was done, but then also work around a vacation we'd be taking, and make sure the concrete had enough time to cure before our hot tub is dropped. Despite a slight language barrier, we worked it out and even managed to get it done ahead of when we originally scheduled it. Punctuality is impressive with these guys. For 3 days they were waiting outside our house to start at 7:30am precisely. They had to remove a portion of fence and work around some foliage for access. They ended up encountering an unexpected drainage tube of some kind while digging and made sure to create an access point for us if it's ever needed in the future. The concrete looks great and matches our old patio so well, it's hard to tell they weren't poured together. Danny and I (and later Rigo) discussed treating the old concrete to help the matching. At the end of the work they did a great job of cleaning up the area and returning everything to normal. Rigo also helped us by showing us how to remove the fence portion for when our hot tub is delivered and left the top cap off because he said we'd really struggle to get it off if they put it back. I'm happy with the work, communication, and cleanup and trust if there are any problems I will be able to get them resolved. If we have further landscape needs in the future I will def be calling Forest for a bid."

"This is the second time I hired them since they did a good job the first time when I had my deck replaced with pavers. The problem I have with them is that the workers do not know how to plant plants. several of the of plants died. I had to replant at least 5 plants. When I was replanting (one blew out of its hole on a windy day) I found that they only dug the holes just big enough for the plant to fit then plopped the plant in. They were very sickly looking until I replanted. Also, a friend of mine just recently used them to re-do pavers, she had her dogs come in stinking of poo. She then found a spot behind her shed where one of the workers pooped and left their wipes right there. They could have at least buried it or put it in a bag to put in the garbage. Needless to say it ended up being a job of cleaning 3 dogs and the mess itself."

"As this was a "Deal" I expected a basic system check and Spring turn on.  What we received was a thorough system check which included testing pressure on each of my zones, checking area coverage for each zone, and clearing grass and growth away from each of the sprinkler heads."

"Things went very well.  I contacted Portland Tree Care via their website email. Bryan responded the next day.  Due to my schedule we could not meet so Bryan can over and reviewed the situation and then sent, via email, his estimate.  We set a date and again since I would be gone in the morning he arrived as scheduled early enough for us to meet and discuss the additional cost of hauling some other wood along with the tree.
The guys worked steadily and even ate their lunches on the go.  I enjoyed watching the adroit manner of climbing and cutting of the tallest branches and even took pictures which I shared with Bryan for his website.  The very large tree and giant stump was down and ground and the yard cleaned up in about 5 1/2 hours.  The debris filled two large trucks.  Bryan is friendly and professional and I would definitely call on him again if needed.  Although I hope not to need to remove the one last tree in my back yard since it is a beautiful Tulip tree.
