"I recently hired Mason to complete electrical work at my home, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. From start to finish, Mason was professional, punctual, and highly knowledgeable. He took the time to explain the work that needed to be done, provided a clear estimate, and executed the job efficiently and with great attention to detail. Not only did Mason complete the project on time, but he also made sure everything was clean and tidy before he left. It’s clear he takes pride in his work and values customer satisfaction. I would confidently recommend Mason to anyone in need of a skilled and trustworthy electrician."

"Mr. John Gambino was fast, professional and priced fair. He attained a permit and checked bathroom fan install for my home inspection, everything from start to finish in a week. He is very knowledgeable and so so so kind. A trustworthy stand up man. I recommend him %200 to anyone looking for the job to get done right! I had two prior people scam me out of my money and push my renovations back 3 months for the same job Mr. Gambino did, starting the next day and completely done & inspected by the next week. Thank you so much Mr. Gambino! I will be using him for any services moving forward. "

"I had a federal pacific panel replaced. The technician and work were professional. However, I explained to the technician that I lost power in a large section of wall. After the job was complete, I found I still didn’t have power in the wall. Now I’m being told it is a separate job and cost. An explanation before having the work done about it being a separate problem and needing additional work would have been very helpful. All I’m told now is they can come out for a service call which is $212 plus whatever the issue is. This was a miscommunication error on Mr. Electrics side. I informed the tech about the problem and there was no testing on the wall afterwards. Very disappointed."

"Ian and his team were amazing. The work they did was flawless. Their communication to me clear. And they did the work for half what a bigger tried to con from me. It was a big project and Ian and his team knocked it out in about 6 hours. I highly recommend them "

"This company repaired a leak caused by a contractor error. We paid them and submitted to contractor to submit to their insurance company. Service Today will only provide a lump sum invoice which insurance company will not accept. They must have their reason for not providing a proper invoice, or providing invoice notes as stated on invoice. Overcharging? Shady company!"

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Gap, PA

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
