"Mr. Jackson was chosen for the roof repair based on his good reviews and his estimate, which was below another company's for the same materials. The roof was done well. He communicated very well; kept us informed about scheduling, shipment delays. It was finished on schedule and on budget. We had some minor issues which he responded to and resolved. We also received a written estimate from Mr. Jackson for some interior painting and minor remodeling that I will now address. One item on the list of things that needed to be done was a "leftover" from a previous kitchen remodel in 2011. We had beadboard installed on part of the walls; the pantry surround, and an 8' straight wall. Several sections of the beadboard had shrunk; it needed caulking and repainting (we had the paint). I counted. There were 5 full length floor to ceiling seams, and 6 partial seams, due to doorways and built-ins. Mr. Jackson's estimate to caulk and paint these seams was $1400.00!!!. I was flabbergasted and asked him over the phone if this didn't have too many zeros in it?! I truly thought it MUST be a typo! He said that NO, it was not a typo. I laughed at him. I told him that this was a ridiculous price for the amount of work that this would entail. He then offered to drop the price to $800.00. I told him that IF we hired him for this job, we would be leaving this out. He wanted $1550.00 to hang 2 shoe racks (which I already had) and paint the inside of 2 small standard closets. He verbally dropped that price to $900.00. We hired another contractor, also through AngiesList with excellent reviews, and turns out we had known him for years and he built our deck when he was our neighbor. He caulked the beadboard seams in under an hour. The next day, his painter painted them in about the same amount of time. In conclusion, we were happy with our roof, but I would caution anyone considering Jackson&Jackson for a type of job like we had to pay strict attention to line item pricing. There could be some shocks in there."

"This is a reliable company to have design your landscaping. We are very happy to have picked Green Acres to do our project. A very large project I must express. They were one of six companies we had interviewed. Not only did I feel comfortable with <br /> Mark Stone but we simply fell in love with his design concept for our back yard. Mark was the only one out of the other five that came up with an actual design. When it came time for plants we spoke with Bill Stone. He also listened to what we wanted in plants and came up with an outstanding environment. And one that is not only beautiful but easy to maintain throughout the year. <br /> We needed to extend our back yard. Upon exiting the back door we had a 24 x 24 concrete slab then a mountain straight up the back and the length of the entire house. To our surprise he designed two actual living spaces with pavers, retaining wall, four <br /> hardscape planters, a mountain pushed back with absolutely beautiful plants. We also wanted to incorporate a Hot Tub which Mark was able to design a special place for. He had the intuitiveness on how to position the Hot Tub so it would flow with the beautiful retaining wall. Because we had the project started so late last year we were unable to have all of the plants installed. After November it was difficult for Bill to pick up mature plants. I worried about this because I had paid in full the amount due on the project, which included the plants. Bill and Mark are true gentlemen and will stand behind every word they tell you. They installed the remainder of plants due and did more than what I expected. The work crew is also to be complimented. They are courteous beyond what anyone would expect. All tools are picked up nightly when they leave. I left my house unlocked and garage wide open and did not have a worry in the world when I left for the day. They are very, very, respectful and do a fantastic job with Marks direction. The crew has been with Bill and Mark for well over ten years. They all have a special bond which makes the company work. Mark is very prompt in responding to all text and phone calls. Even after the project had been completed I was able to contact him several times with questions and he has always been there for me. <br /> We are extremely pleased with what Green Acres accomplished for us. I will ?always? call on them for more work. <br /> Thank you guys, Trudy"

"This company recommended inside and outside work where the other two companies only recommended inside job. For what they were going to do inside and outside, the price probably was not too out of reason. Most companies offer free estimates where this company charged. Only time will tell if we made the right decision. <br />"

"When I first called (on a Tuesday), I was assured that someone would contact me by the end of that week. No one called. So, I called another paver. Finally, at the end of the second week (10 days after my call) someone called me to set up an estimate. By that time, I'd already hired another contractor and had the job completed. <br />"

"We need to fence our backyard a couple of years ago. We made several phone calls to get quote. James Barton's price is not the lowest, but we felt he seemed professional. He finished the work in one day, with one year warranty. Till now the fence he installed still look good. <br />"

"We got an estimate the day after we called. Work didn't get started until the next week because Miss Utility didn't mark the gas line for a few days. Preparation and paving were then done over three consecutive days. We were really pleased with the quality of the work, and how efficiently it was carried out. Julian, our contact, provided helpful information about what would be done, and also had some suggestions that improved on our plan for the work. We will use Fonseca Concrete again if we have other paving to be done."
