"Simple brick facia repair, had a crack in the mortar that grew and had the corner separating from the block wall. House was constructed in the late 60's, early 70's. Mason did tell me he would go back with brick ties, which were not used during that time, and bricks or masonry need to be solid to the supporting structure. The work was completed in a fairly timely manner and the area cleaned of all waste materials. The only reason I gave a 4 on the quality of work was a simple matter, instead of notching out the existing brick and placing in a whole one, they use a half brick and the mortar joints lined up and hit me right in the face. Not something I would expect from a mason that had pride in his work. Nothing major, as the brick are just a facade over the block wall structure but not what I would expect from a veteran mason."

As far as I can tell right now (I don't know what it will look like in a few years), the job appears to have been done well. My point of contact with the organization (I don't know how to describe his role exactly, but he seemed like a supervisor or coordinator) and the working crew were courteous. My point of contact was also very communicative. He provided a free estimate before undertaking the job, and the final price was in agreement with the estimate. The job was more expensive than I might have wished, but it was still affordable for me and necessary to address a safety issue."
