"Awesome. Call the day after Thanksgiving, at 7:30am, they were here by 9. Cleaned out the sewer, very nice technician. Unfortunately, they did not get it all out so I called again a few days later and they showed up within the hour and got it right! From Tonya who is in the office to the technician everyone was so professional and polite. Would use again in a heart beat!"

"No problems with the quality of the work or the time it took, but it was surprisingly expensive. So much so that I almost regretted having the work done. The plumber found the shut-off valves inoperable and began replacing them without telling me about it or the additional cost. I should have looked over his shoulder more often and asked more questions, but I did not. Any repairman beginning additional repairs without asking really rubs me the wrong way and leads to a "B" rating at best and a "No" on hiring again. Learn from my mistake: make certain that you do your research on pricing and agree on a price range and scope of work with Geiler (or anyone, for that matter) before they begin the work."

"Lou and Bryce showed up at the time that was discussed. Lou was very polite and professional. He gave us his professional opinion as to what was happening. Last year, we were told by another company that our leech lines had collapsed. Since replacing the leech lines was not an option due to county regulations , we could have been looking at replacing the entire septic system. If we would have had have a new septic system, it could have costs us between $20K-$30K. Lou said he couldn't be sure but he could surely find out what was going on. He called Aaron, he brought out a back-hoe the same day, dug up the area between our septic tanks and distribution box and discovered it was the line between our tanks and distribution box that was clogged solid. We, also, found out the leech lines were working fine. They pumped both our tanks, dug up and replaced the clogged line, put a riser and lid on the distribution box and refilled the hole. We've lived in our home 3 years and have used 2 other companies when we have had issues. Hopefully, our septic issues have been resolved for a while but if anything new arises, we will be calling Aaron/Andrew's Septic."

"It went really well. I called on a Saturday morning not expecting to get an appointment until Monday at the earliest. They were ready and willing to be there as soon as I needed them. We made an appointment for 5:00pm the same day. <br /> They were prompt, friendly, educational and professional. I didn't get many details over the phone because I just wanted it fixed. He explained to me that he is paid a certain amount per hour + costs of materials. He got here at 5:00pm exactly, fixed the busted waterline, checked the rest of the house for leaks when we turned the water back on and was gone by 5:35pm. There was no waste of time! <br /> <br />"

"He comes when I call him but I don't call him too often. He's good at what he does and he'll do what he can. I highly recommend him. He's the only plumber that I know of around here and he'd only been in business I'd say for a couple of years, I don't know for sure how long but he's served this home for a long time. He's a lot more reasonable on the service calls than anybody else we've had. I'd recommend him to anybody."

"This is the company you want for your next plumbing project. The plumbers who came out to do their part on our bathroom remodel were courteous and extremely skilled. They went above and beyond to make sure the plumbing would meet our needs. We live in an old Victorian farmhouse and the plumbing they installed was like a work of art by the time they were finished. It was not an easy installation by any means. I have nothing but respect for this company."

"Chuck came out and replaced our water heater when it went out. He also replaced our shower mixing valve. Would definitely call him again for all plumbing needs. He was professional and courteous. Highly recommend."

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Germantown, KY

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
