"He arrived on time quickly loaded the appliance hauled it from the basement out the front door. He was very professional and patiently waited for me to retrieve payment from the ATM. I would definitely hire this Hauler again."

"We had an old wooden playset that needed to be orn down and removed our yard. In addition, we had a firepit and octagon picnic table that also needed removed. We hired Rick who came out the next day to give us an estimate. He was able to schedule the removal within days and finished the whole removal in hours! He was kind and courteous, efficient and thorough. He did a wonderful job and we hired him again for a door repair."

"There was a “ jungle” of weeds, poison, seedlings— it was just a mess that I couldn’t tackle on my own. Z&T came in with a 3-manned crew and had the job done in less than half of a day! On top of the quick, thorough job, the price was 35% less than any of the prior quotes I got. I found them as a referral from my friend who showed me how they re-landscaped her city yard.... beautiful work! I have been singing their praises to all my friends. And I definitely will be using them again!"

FAQs for landscape soil, sand, mulch and rock delivery projects in Gettysburg, PA

Topsoil packs your garden with the nutrients plants crave, improves soil structure, and lets water drain at just the right pace. The result is a welcoming planting bed that makes routine chores—like weeding and aerating—far easier. In short, quality topsoil boosts fertility, builds stronger root systems, and keeps your landscape looking vibrant season after season.

If you’re tackling a large area and have room to store extra soil, bulk delivery almost always wins on price. Bags cost more per cubic yard but arrive clean, sealed, and easy to haul around tight spaces or raised beds. Match the option to your square footage, storage space, and muscle power, and you’ll find the most cost-effective and hassle-free choice for your project.

First, measure the square footage you want to cover, then decide on a layer—most gardens thrive with 4 to 8 inches of fresh topsoil. A 40-pound bag spreads over 12 square feet at a depth of one inch. Multiply your area by the desired depth (in inches), divide by 12, and you’ll know exactly how many bags to load in the cart. Using this quick formula guarantees even coverage and a healthy, vibrant garden bed.
