At our company, your satisfaction is our top priority. We are committed to completing every job to the highest standards, ensuring exceptional quality and service. Discover our range of services and reach out today to book your free estimate. Let us show you the difference our dedication can make!

"Very well! Joe worked closely with us to satisfy our dream of having our 'East Coast' screened in deck in the PNW. He was transparent about the unknowns and worked hard to find answers and solutions. Although it was a costly project, we are pretty sure the final product costs were significantly lower than our other bid(s). Joe found very high quality sub-contractor workers and negotiated to a favorable price. And, he also held true to his word. Specifically, he made right when property damage occurred (that was a result of unanticipated weather) and honored original estimate costs even when some contractor labor was much more extensive than first anticipated. We are very pleased with our finished covered and screened in deck and would highly recommend Joe as a knowledgeable, trustworthy, fair contractor who communicates well and often."

"I recently hired Koa Construction to fix the exterior wall surrounding our gas fireplace that had some damage and dry-rot and we couldn't be happier with the results! Tony is professional, friendly and delivers high-quality work at a fair cost. He talks you through the process and shares all options so you can choose the best one for you. The communication and transparency throughout the project already separate Tony from others but his work speaks for itself. I highly recommend Koa Construction to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality service. We look forward to working with Tony again this Spring to build us a semi-covered pergola over our hot tub."

Lifetime Exteriors was established in Vancouver, WA in 2009. We are proud to be a Woman-Owned, Family business located in the wonderful Pacific Northwest - We strive to bring our customers a high quality of service while maintaining excellent communication and service throughout your project and beyond. We have aligned ourselves and become preferred vendors for the highest quality products in the industry and we will always recommend the very best building components and products available such as James Hardie Siding, Sherwin Williams Paint, Milgard Windows, Trex Decking among several others.

"Had these guys put on a new roof. Roof leaked, toxic black mold where it’s leaked with ceiling damage in one of our bedrooms. Been 3 weeks since they came out to survey the damage. They’ve told me they subbed out the roof to someone else when they did it and they’ve let the other company know. I've inquired a few times and they keep telling me they reached out to the other company to let them know. Basically passed us off and we’re up a creek with toxic black mold."

At Evergreen Home Exteriors we are all about our customers. Our philosophy is simple. We give customers the kind of experience we ourselves would want. Everything we have learned about customer service has been from our experience as customers and feedback from our customers over the past decades. We have developed a seamless communication system that allows our customers constant access to their project, no matter what phase of the process they are in. If you are tired of the mediocre service that has become the new normal, then give us a try! We will make you a customer for life!!

"As the GC for my own full home renovation, I was looking for a turn-key company that I could outsource and trust to handle the exterior work for my house (new house wrap, siding, and window/door installation). I was really optimistic about this company because they were a Hardie-certified installer. I hired them to install about 30 top-of-the-line Andersen windows, several exterior doors, and install all new Hardie siding and trim. Unfortunately things went south on day 1 and continued to spiral out of control. In a nutshell, I had three different project managers assigned to me throughout the project, and neither of them came on site once the project started (until the very end, and the last project manager was awesome... kuddos to him!). The first crew that came on board were subcontractors, not Evergreen employees. When they started to install my windows, I knew immediately that they did not know how to properly flash a window sill (they had gaps in the Vycor flashing, didn't wrap the sill properly, etc. etc.). I called this to the PM's attention but nothing was done. The crew installed all windows in one day, not properly flashed. Crew was retrained and came back to "fix" them, but still didn't properly flash them. Meanwhile, they were taping the seams on our house wrap in the rain, when the house wrap was wet, so nothing stuck and had to be redone. Fortunately this crew was let go and I was told they were going to bring their "in-house" crew to finish. The next crew was awesome and they ended up removing all windows and reinstalling them. In total, each window was installed three times! As a result, some of the nail flanges and seals were broken. I called this out to the PM and owner of the company but did not get a response. From this point on, the crew that stayed on did a good job and was pleasant to work with (but I found out they were also subcontractors, not "in-house" employees as I was told up front). The delivery of a few windows and doors were delayed by about three months, which was my responsibility. I told all project managers about this upfront, including the first project manager before the project started. He said it was okay and that we could start the project and hold back a specific percentage amount of the project payment until they arrived so they could return to complete it at a later time. He and I agreed and the project moved forward. When the owner of the company, Jon Jordan, found out about the window/door delays, he was irate. His brother/GM and PM (who were both very polite and professional) called me and tried to negotiate a higher partial payment percentage rate which was absolutely frustrating to me. I explained to them that I had suffered for months through the project with extreme errors and redos, which caused mental angst, and that we had already agreed on a percentage on day one. Nonetheless, I was willing to increase the partial payment a little bit just to wrap things up. The owner followed up that evening by texting me in an aggressive, threatening tone. He said my only options were to allow them to finish the project immediately (which was impossible because we didn't have the remaining windows or doors), or pay them in full immediately and they would return after the doors/windows arrived a few months later. Otherwise he would sue me and put a lien on my home. He and I hadn't even spoken prior to that, and it was shocking to get such an aggressive text from a guy who never even heard my side of the story… I proposed to the owner that we cease the contract immediately, and that I would pay them for all work completed at that point. We agreed on how much work was remaining, and removed that amount from the contract price. We cancelled the contract, he had his remaining materials picked up and that was that. Again, I was hopeful for this company and wanted to have a great experience, but due to the poor project management experience, inexperienced subcontractors who caused damage and significant delays, and a sue-happy, angry owner who lacked professionalism and compassion, I could never re-consider hiring, let alone recommend, this company for any type of contracting work."

FAQs for swimming pool in ground build or installation projects in Portland, OR

Regular maintenance for indoor pools includes chemical treatments for $15 monthly, occasional professional cleaning services at $25 to $50 per hour, and operating costs for climate control systems. Indoor installations require less frequent cleaning than outdoor alternatives since they're protected from environmental debris and contaminants. However, proper ventilation and dehumidification are essential to prevent structural damage and maintain air quality, which adds to operating expenses.

Indoor pools can enhance property value, particularly in luxury markets and regions with limited outdoor swimming seasons. However, the return on investment ranges from seven to eight percent, meaning the value increase rarely matches the installation cost. Maximum value enhancement occurs when the installation complements your home's architectural style and incorporates energy-efficient systems. Consider your local real estate market and planned residence duration when evaluating this investment.

The construction timeline for an indoor swimming facility varies based on complexity, with permitting and excavation representing significant early phases. Prefabricated options install more quickly than custom designs, while existing enclosures simplify the process compared to new construction. Your contractor can provide a specific timeline based on your project's requirements and local conditions.

The appropriate moisture management solution depends on your pool's size, usage frequency, and integration with existing systems. Options include whole-home dehumidifiers, ventilation-based systems, and commercial-grade refrigeration units. Larger installations and frequently used facilities require more robust solutions. Professional HVAC consultation helps determine the appropriate system to prevent condensation damage and maintain comfortable conditions.

Outdoor swimming facilities cost less than comparable indoor installations. While outdoor pools have their own expense profile, indoor versions require additional investments for dehumidification systems, enclosure construction, and specialized ventilation. However, indoor installations may offer lower long-term maintenance expenses by eliminating seasonal opening and closing procedures and reducing exposure to environmental contaminants. Your climate and intended usage patterns should influence this decision.
