"I met Bill (the owner) at the property and went over the work I needed to be done. We set a time and date, he and his crew were there exactly on time with all the equipment and materials. I came back the next morning to find all the work completed exactly as we had talked about no muss no fuss. I am very happy with the quality of work and plan to use Bullseye again in the near future. Thanks for a great job, Bill"

"The team at JP Sheehan is finishing a comprehensive basement remodel project in our home, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. Our project was extensive, requiring demolition of existing framing, trenching and adding/reconfiguring plumbing, replacing old wiring, and adding an egress window. Their team reframed the space, including adding a finished ceiling and full bath, laundry room, and additional bedroom. The scope of work was significant overall, and the quality of work has been exceptional. What we have appreciated most throughout the project has been the responsiveness (always same day, often within an hour) anytime we've had questions or concerns; and the sensitivity to our household by the construction team. We have dogs, and a young toddler, and the crew has been nothing but respectful and conscientious about working inside our home. Like many renovation projects on older homes, we had plan modifications and unforeseen challenges along the way. The team was totally transparent and direct about options and changes in plans, and always provided detailed cost adjustments and rationale so support them, which in some cases actually resulted in project cost reductions which we appreciated. Overall, the team is respectful, responsive, the work quality is excellent, and we wouldn't hesitate to hire them again for our next project."

"Harold and his team were experts all the way! They built me a beautiful retaining wall and trenched some land to relieve the hydrostatic pressure on the west side of my house. The finished product in both cases has improved my peace of mind and my property value. I will be calling them back for future projects :-)"

"Jim and his guys did a great job on my deck. We had multiple bad spots (bad boards and posts) they fixed. We also had water leaking into the house and our below deck 3 season room. He found the source and meticulously fixed it. Very professional, on time and cleaned up when done. Highly recommend."

"Was very professional with business, easy to get ahold of, and good working out times to get out to the job where they trimmed. They cleaned up the debris as expected and I was all around satisfied. "

FAQs for building site preparation and clearing projects in Glencoe, MO

A professional team can clear an acre of land in as little as two to twelve hours, depending on your land's condition. You'll need to consider factors like vegetation density, terrain features, and obstacles such as trees, stumps, rocks, or existing structures can increase the time required. If your land is heavily wooded or has uneven terrain, expect the process to take longer and require more effort.

If you're looking to clear land for a pasture, expect to pay between $400 and $600 per acre for forestry mulching or $500 to $5,600 per acre for conventional land clearing. When choosing a method, consider:

  • Forestry Mulching: Leaves organic material in the soil, promoting new ground cover growth.

  • Conventional Clearing: You might lose valuable topsoil during this process.

A land-clearing project typically involves several key steps to prepare your property for construction or landscaping. First, assess your land and obtain any necessary permits from your local building department. Then, professionals use specialized equipment to remove trees, stumps, brush, and vegetation. After clearing, they haul away debris and may perform grading to level the land, ensuring it's ready for your intended use.

Preparing land to build a house typically costs between $1,000 and $4,000, depending on your land's size and condition. This includes clearing space for the foundation, which may involve removing trees, stumps, brush, and leveling or grading the site. Don't forget to budget for additional costs like permits, fees, and installing utility connections such as gas lines, water lines, and sewer mains.
