"I have never done a project like the patio they did and I could not be happier with the process, and the work Mike and his team did. He helped my wife and I scope out the project and listened to what we wanted and how we wanted to use the space. "ATD did a wonderful job of completely redoing our front yard. The yard is shaded by trees, grass would not grow, and invasive plants had taken over. ATD first met with us to understand what we wanted, and provided a concise but complete proposal. They developed a landscape design which they discussed with us as it evolved. For the installation they first removed the existing plants, grass and weeds and applied an organic weed killer to kill the invasive plants. They installed the new landscaping a few weeks later, and completed it in one day. They applied soil and hardwood mulch, planted a variety of native plants, and installed stone pavers to provide a walkway from our driveway to the house. In addition they installed a dry creek and river rocks to control water runoff. Maintenance, included for next year, includes Spring and Fall cleanups and weeding every 4-6 weeks during the growth season. We are thrilled with the yard, and neighbors have already given complements. The price was good - we did get a quote from another landscaper, and it was significantly higher. We plan to have ATD work on our back yard next Spring."

"They were amazing. I mean it really looks good. I think that if I paid less, it might not have looked quite as good. They were really professionals that knew what they were doing. The way they did the retaining wall just looks really really nice. I would give them higher than an A in some way. They were so nice. There were so many of them, and they worked so fast. They were experts. The salesman was also excellent because he took into part what I was trying to convey, and he designed it. He kept showing me, and we kept sort of tweaking it. You want that. They were punctual. They were scheduled for a week or so later, and I called and asked if they could come earlier because they had an opening in their schedule. They like to keep their crews working constantly, and I had really wanted it done as soon as possible. So I agreed. They came and they were right on time. They worked very hard. They always cleaned up after themselves. I mean so many leave a mess or leave a part of it undone. Plus, it just exceeded my expectations of how it looked in the end."

"I do not normally write reviews, but I feel like I should let other people know about this company. I could write an entire essay on my experience with them but I will try and keep it short. I hired HL to redo my entire front lawn with new walkways, retaining walls, plants, mulch, and trees. I spent over $17,000 and thought I was getting a great deal. Dave and his group were very nice at first but once work had begun things quickly changed. They would say nice stuff to my face but I would catch them saying bad things about me behind my back. They had horrible communication with me, they rushed to get to the next job, and I had several problems with their work. The amount of stress they caused me was truly unfair to me. I eventually got most of the problems fixed. One of those problems was they did not install weed fabric under all my beds as discussed. They came back and fixed it but did a horrible job. They also put barely enough mulch back to cover the fabric and dirt so now I have a literal jungle in most areas. I was not happy before I paid but no amount of money is worth the issues they caused me. They even put grass seed in the mulched areas that are now grass. I would have tried to get them to come back out for the fourth time but it is not worth the stress. I expect a little maintenance but my yard looks nothing that was agreed to. I will have to fix it myself in the spring but I had to write this review because everyday I look at my yard and I am not pleased. Reading the other reviews makes mine stick out but I would not recommend them. Spend your money on a better company. UPDATE: Owner reached out to remedy the issue. They came out and pulled out all old mulch, weed, and weed fabric and replaced them. Looks much better. They seem to have taken more care this time and I hope it works. Fabric seems to have been put down better with more mulch too. I hope the mulch is deep enough with a combination of fabric to stop most weeds in the spring."

"The service from Ballard Enterprises was great. Arthur (the landscape professional) was on time , professional yet friendly. He was creative and clearly explained his vision for the area of concern. He did not try to "up sell" their services. He respected my wishes keeping the work moderate yet making a tremendous difference. I received 4 compliments on the area on the first day it was completed ! I will definitely use them again for landscaping services. I had "interviewed" four other landscapers before choosing Ballard Enterprises. i Have included a before and after shot of my front yard. It's much more impressive in person but you get the idea !"

"Was unable to get a window for installation, I was concerned as I wanted to dovetail this project in with other projects I had planned. Brian , the owner informed me of a possibility of late June install, I asked if he could offer a 2 week window in the future so that I could contact my other contractors to arrange their work before and after this window. I was informed that due to the nature of the business this was impossible. I was uncomfortable with that and contacted Angie's list for a refund , I received one voice mail from someone , I see that purchase has been removed from my purchase history but I received no official notification of an adjustment. I am sure Mr Hoffman does excellent work, given the time constraints of the offer and the other projects I wanted to have planned I asked for a refund My main concern is with Angies List business model now 1. Why did the chat function mysteriously disappear after I requested a refund? 2. Why was the purchase removed from my history with no refund issued? 3. When will I get confirmation of my refund ?"
