"It went well. I was unsure of the tile and had not chosen it before arriving in town (this was a vacation townhouse). This put Justin at a disadvantage timewise, as I had asked him to please finish before I had to go back home. But all of his workers were courteous and very good at their jobs. His tile expert, George took the accent pebbles off of the 4 inch netting and placed them individually, stepping back and checking his work...being very detailed and perfect. He did an excellent job, as did all of Justin's subs. Justin was very polite and responsive and even responded to me on the weekend while he was on the lake.
I appreciated everything they did and their cleanup afterward. Justin was very conscious of trying to get the job done when I asked, even though I was the one who delayed the process with my tile decision. In the end, it was finished a day later, which worked out fine.
Great Job!!! Thanks so much!!!"

"I was so impressed with this couple. They sanded and painted both my bathrooms and laundry room. The cabinets now look brand new! They diligently cleaned up the ‘mess’ and I need to mention taped off as much as possible. I have other work and future projects I will be hiring them for! You can rest assured your home will be in good hands."

"Crews were professional and worked hard to install the radiant barrier during my remodel. I know this was money well spent cause it is now the middle of summer in the house. With temperatures running the upper 90's-100 and no insulation in the attic (Still in remodel stage, but drywall is up), the AC system can keep it a nice 72 inside without any problems and without running all the time."

"Sales and installation went fine. We ran into some problems with rotted fascia boards and soffits 2 years later. Called them to get an estimate on repairs. Jeff came out to look at what needed to be done and told us he would get back that week with an estimate. Never heard back from him. Called him and he said that Tim would be out in a few days to look at what needed to be done. Tim didn't show up on the days that Jeff said he would. Called Jeff again and he said that they were so busy that he was having difficulty with Tim's schedule. Told them that we would prefer to have them do the work as they installed the gutters which may have to be adjusted with the fascia replacement. He said he understood. Didn't hear back from them and gave up. Hired another contractor. Tim showed up unexpectedly while the contractor was here doing the work.
Then, we discovered that there were some problems with leaking gutters on the inside corners and, when combined with a roof issue on the same inside corners, was what had probably caused the rotting of the fascia and soffits. We contacted Jeff again to ask them to come out to take a look at the gutters and to help us solve the problem. Never heard back from them.
The issue with the gutters is that one of the inside corners had a hole in the back which the installer had tried to fill with gutter sealant. There was a hole in the gutter sealant that allowed water to go through the back of the gutter and drain into the soffit area and into a window. It looked like one of the gutters had been cut incorrectly where the two gutter lines met on the inside corner. Another of the inside corners had a piece of small piece of metal lying under the shingles and across the area where the water would run down the roof into the opening in the leaf shield. The metal had not been sealed into place and was not large enough to fit completely under the inside corner of the shingles so water was getting under the shingles and down into the fascia and structure.
They are good at making the sale and installation. Not very good with helping customers afterwards.
"

"Daniel Mitchell gained my confidence from our first meeting. I talked with several roofing contractors, they all asked 4-5 questions and had an estimate ready in about 15 minutes. He spent over an hour with me, asked dozens of questions and offered a lot of advice and options. His estimate was not the cheapest, but definitely on the lower side. It was also the most detailed, listing types and prices of all necessary materials, right down to the cost of the nails.
I needed extensive repairs on a back porch roof and had several other areas that needed smaller repairs, along with 3 layers of shingles to be removed. At the end of each day my yard was clean. He went above and beyond expectations to make my roof look great, right down to painting exhaust vents to match my new roof color. His company does much more than roofing, including windows, siding, and additions. I will be calling him in the future to do siding on my home.
"

"I requested information from Ozark Wood Care by submitting a web form I found on their web site. Less than 12 hours later, I received a call from Steve Schmidt who is the owner of the company. I asked him to come look at my house and give me an estimate. He said he was working in my area and would be by later that afternoon or the next day for sure. As promised, he showed up at my house less than 4 hours after our initial conversation. It is unusual in my area to even receive a call back from a contractor in a reasonable period of time, let alone them showing up for an estimate. Steve and Ozark Wood Care followed up promptly and did what he said he would do. So far so good!!

When Steve arrived at my home he did a detailed inspection of my home to determine the services I would need. The stain on my log home had completely failed and he recommended stripping it down to the bare wood. He also recommended that we apply a wood preservative to the logs once they were stripped. The name of the preservative is ECO Wood Treatment. He claimed that it was entirely plant and mineral based, contained no chemicals and was safe for plants, animals and humans. The environment is very important to me so at this point he definitely had my attention! He also stated that unlike any other preservative, sealer or stain, the ECO wood treatment was MAINTENANCE FREE!! Wow! I know there are those of you who will scoff at that claim but it wasn't made by Steve at Ozark Wood Care, it is in the documentation of the manufacturer of the product. So we shall see.

Steve gave me a verbal estimate on site and promised to give a written estimate no later than the next morning which he did. We agreed to the cost and he started the work 2 days later. Our experience with Steve Schmidt and the entire staff at Ozark Wood Care was outstanding to say the least. They did everything they promised they would, in a timely manner and left the job site cleaner than when they arrived. I would HIGHLY recommend this company to anyone that needs construction work of any kind done and especially for painting and anything wood related. Steve Wilson"

"Doug's a good guy. He started on time and ended on time. Doug (and his brother) did a great job. He tore out the existing carpet in the bedroom and laid down a laminate wood floor. He also tore out existing shelving in the walk-in closet and laid down laminate wood floor and installed a washer/dryer. He had to tap into plumbing lines in the adjacent bathroom for the washer which went well. We also painted both rooms, including trim. One nice touch was Doug had recommendations to improve the project, without necessarily adding costs. Skilled, punctual, reasonably priced and nice. I can recommend Doug for remodel projects.

"

"ProCut recently painted the entire exterior of our home including trim and all doors. I had used them for a smaller interior job last year and was pleased with their work so when it came time to address the outside condition of my 2 story colonial, I called them for a quote.

Their estimate was in between the other two I got and as I was pleased with their previous work, I decided to go with them. When they arrived on the job Neil and his crew were very professional and had amazing attention to detail and I didn't find a single area that needed to be touched up during the final walk around, though I have to take them at their word for the areas on the roof that are 40 feet up in the air.

I'm always wary of letting new people have run of my house for days on end while I'm at work, but by the end of the job I was confident in the crew enough to leave a key for them in case they needed anything in the house while we were away. The safety of my house and family are very important to me and I didn't see anything to doubt their friendliness or work ethic.

They started the job by doing all the trim work on the house by hand and later they moved onto spraying the sideboards and bushing the paint back in. I was worried that there might be some overspray on my windows, but this wasn't the case. It probably helped that Neil asked me to remove the screens from my windows before starting the job as I'm sure those would attract more overspray than the bare glass. I'd recommend doing the same if you have screens, just in case.

They completed the job ahead of schedule and for the same price we agreed to in advance. The house looked brand new when they completed the job, just as I had hoped for. I was even impressed that Neil himself helped me sand and buff the metal door jam on my front door, something that wasn't even in the original contract.

I noticed that the college kids who were painting other houses in my area this summer completed their jobs faster, but I think the few extra dollars I spent to hire in experienced, caring professionals was worth it in the long run. Though I haven't needed to, I'm certain that if I had an issue with the work in the future that I could call ProCut and they could address it for me.

Since having my house painted, I've confidently recommend their services to neighbors and I won't hesitate to bring them back for any future projects."

FAQs for exterior home or structure paint or stain projects in Glenwood, AR

Painting vinyl siding is a budget-friendly way to revive curb appeal without paying for new panels. As long as the boards aren’t warped, cracked, or leaking, a coat of high-quality acrylic paint can buy you another five to 10 years before replacement.

Stick to lighter shades so the siding doesn’t soak up excess heat, and prep the surface well for the paint to bond. If you’re seeing rot or moisture damage, skip the paint and plan for new siding instead.

High-quality acrylic paint is recommended for vinyl siding. Acrylic paint adheres firmly to vinyl surfaces and resists peeling and fading, providing a sleek and long-lasting finish. Ensure the siding is thoroughly cleaned and prepared for optimal results. Your exterior painting pro has the expertise to properly prepare your siding’s surface to ensure proper adhesion.

Priming is not required if the vinyl siding remains in good condition and is properly cleaned. However, if the original color is severely faded or the panels have become porous, priming becomes essential. Priming provides a smooth, even base that improves paint adhesion and enhances durability, ensuring the acrylic finish adheres properly and lasts longer.

A paint sprayer is the quickest, most consistent way to coat vinyl siding. The fine mist reaches grooves a roller can miss and lays down an even layer in a fraction of the time. You’ll still need a brush for tight corners, but a sprayer slashes labor hours and reduces lap marks.

If you’re renting equipment, ask the supplier for a tip size made for exterior acrylics so the paint atomizes correctly and sticks to the siding.

Painted vinyl siding lasts between five and 10 years. The durability depends on the quality of the surface preparation and the local climate conditions. When the siding is thoroughly cleaned and prepped, and high-quality acrylic paint is used, the finish endures longer. In hotter regions, the lifespan may be closer to five years, while cooler climates help extend it.
