"I called one of the other highly rated vendors, and got a price of around $350 for roughly 7-8 cu. yds. of screened topsoil (delivered). I called JCK based on a single, very enthusiastic review on the list, and they quoted $200 for 10 yards delivered. I was calling on a Wednesday afternoon, and they were able to deliver the following day, if I had wanted it that quickly. I ordered 10 yards to be delivered on Friday afternoon after 1pm, and the truck showed up about 1:45. I asked for the load to be dumped in 2 places, and the driver was more than happy to do that. The driver was also careful to check clearance on overhead wires and trees. Since he had to back over a public sidewalk, he had me sign a waiver for damages. (It wasn't fresh concrete, so I wasn't worried, and there was no damage.) The quality was excellent. Very little straw or other debris, and the soil itself was great. It was clear from the aroma that it had a fair amount of natural 'fertilizer' in it, too. After spreading the first load, I found I needed more, and had another 10 yards delivered the following Friday. Same great product and service. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again myself, or recommend them to others."

"EXCELLENT!!! We cannot say enough good things about this company, the owner and all the workers!!! From start to finish everything was perfect - I cannot remember the last time I said that about any contractor.  They started and finished on time even though we had bad storms moving through the area multiple times.  The owner, Roger is extremely conscientious about the work being done as well as making sure the customer is happy.  The price was more than fare and the end result was beautiful.  The crew was very polite and very neat and VERY hard working.  It is obvious throughout the whole process that Roger takes pride in his work and it looks like it.  I wish I could remember all of the little things that Rodger and his crew did that were not in the contract and not required but they paid attention to every detail!!  We already have an estimate for more work next spring and told Roger to expect a call.  I only wish that Roger did interior work as well because he is a perfectionist and a pleasure to work with. <br />"

"Chris came out the same week he was called! His immediate response was a pleasure! I explained to him what I wanted: new paver patio, paver walkway in front and side of house, and new landscaping surrounding the house. He did a spectacular job, and I cannot say enough about his professional attitude, desire to do an excellent job, and his response to what I wanted. He made some positive suggestions along the way: even out one side of the lawn by adding soil and sod. It proved to be a great addition to the whole landscape. His workers were professional, trustworthy, and Chris's desire to do a great job was reflected in his workers. They were all great! The men were here on time and didn't leave until that part of the job was completed! They were here for two weeks, with Chris on site almost every day, and they worked consistently with only a lunch break.
