We hired this exceptional shop to replace all the old knob and tube wiring (along with switching out a number of light fixtures and installing several ceiling fans) in our 120-year-old Victorian home – a challenging job that a couple of other electricians didn’t feel confident undertaking. Owner Jack McCurdy personally came to size up the job and give us a detailed estimate, and his professionalism, courtesy and extensive knowledge sold us. What was originally thought to be a two-week job was finished in six working days as foreman Joe Costain efficiently deployed his crew and brought in a second crew on a few days to expedite the work. Joe was great at communicating what kind of activity we could expect day-to-day, especially as both my wife and I are working from home fulltime during the COVID pandemic. He and the crew checked in frequently on our preferences, minimized the number of holes in the ceilings and walls (including avoiding harming our wallpaper in a couple of rooms altogether), and cleaned up well at the end of every day. Jack’s estimate was competitive and the final accounting accurately included the additions and subtractions we agreed to during the job. We feel so much better that we’ve finally eliminated the risky knob and tube wiring and updated the entire house’s electrical system. "I contacted Frank for some light electrical needs as my light fixtures on my detached garage haven't worked in quite some time. Frank did a walkthrough and noted the previous owner either wired the garage him/herself or hired an amateur and due to safety issues the whole garage had to be re-wired. Frank and his team completed that work in two days time and also did some miscellenous electrical work including: installing a dimmer switch in my dining room, fixing wiring for our outdoor flood lights, and working on an old railroad light fixture, which was procured by a previous owner but hasn't worked in years. Overall extremely satisfied with Frank's professionalism and kind disposition. "Frank fixed a faulty outlet in our laundry room in the recent past. He went out of his way for that small job and we really appreciated it. So, when our lights were flickering and some decided to stop working, he was the first person we thought of to call. He took a few minutes to discuss on the phone the problems we were encountering and offered some suggestions. We were at work trying to address the problem. Frank came by the house within 15 minutes of our conversation to check out the issue, luckily other family was home. Long story short, the electricity problem was an outside line power company issue. Frank made the call to the power company and the issues with electricity in our home were resolved later that morning. Frank is trustworthy and does right by his clients. Others might not have been so honest when figuring out the electricity issues. He is knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. He is on our speed-dial for all of our electrical concerns and needs."
