"Rockstar Landscape Materials rocks! Francisco responded to my Homeadvisor request within minutes. The next day he came to our property, assessed our needs and gave me a very reasonable quote to repair the driveway and walking paths which were damaged by an epic rainstorm. Today he and his crew delivered and spread 75 tons of decomposed granite. Many thanks to Matt and Catarino for their expert skills and hustle. Our property has never looked better. I highly recommend Rockstar for your next landscape material project. They are awesome!"

"Highly recommend Lostdutchmen service to any one needing advice on the care of Palm trees. I had one cut and removed, because it was dead. They were efficient and did a great job with cleanup. I definitely will be calling them back for more service. Jason and partner...Kudo's and Thank you!!"

Overall:

The company is simply unable to communicate. After the contract was signed, they did not return phone calls or emails. I could only find out what was going on when they happened to be in the office. I only happened to find out they were starting on a Friday when I called them late Thursday afternoon. I was never sure when they were coming or if they were coming.

99% of the project was completed 4 weeks ago. The only thing left to do is paint the landscaping walls they built. It clearly says on my plans that they created that the walls would be painted to match the house. They said they would be back in two weeks after the walls' stucco had dried. 4 weeks later I still have unpainted walls.

We've had rain, so I'm willing to understand a delay. But they will not return my phone calls. When they do answer, that person can't answer the question. She'll have someone call me back. The next day no one calls back and no one answers the phone.

I made the mistake of paying them with a credit card and believing that they would actually be back in two weeks to finish the painting. They are licensed and I will be filing a complaint against their license. It's not so much the cost of the paint that bothers me. It's the unwillingness of a company supposedly certified by Angie's List to even make the effort to return phones.

It's too bad. Most of the work they did was rather good. The pavers were done well. We were misled on where the pavers would go. One of the plants died because there was no drip outlet installed at that location. They didn't remove the lawn thoroughly nor put a weed barrier down. Now I'm fight Bermuda grass growing through the rocks.  They didn't cap off one of the existing sprinkler lines under the pavers which had me panicking about a sprinkler leak until I figured out what they did. They also cut the existing sprinkler controller wire which I now have to replace.

But the worst thing is.....they just won't call you back.

FAQs for landscape soil, sand, mulch and rock delivery projects in Gold Canyon, AZ

Topsoil packs your garden with the nutrients plants crave, improves soil structure, and lets water drain at just the right pace. The result is a welcoming planting bed that makes routine chores—like weeding and aerating—far easier. In short, quality topsoil boosts fertility, builds stronger root systems, and keeps your landscape looking vibrant season after season.

If you’re tackling a large area and have room to store extra soil, bulk delivery almost always wins on price. Bags cost more per cubic yard but arrive clean, sealed, and easy to haul around tight spaces or raised beds. Match the option to your square footage, storage space, and muscle power, and you’ll find the most cost-effective and hassle-free choice for your project.

First, measure the square footage you want to cover, then decide on a layer—most gardens thrive with 4 to 8 inches of fresh topsoil. A 40-pound bag spreads over 12 square feet at a depth of one inch. Multiply your area by the desired depth (in inches), divide by 12, and you’ll know exactly how many bags to load in the cart. Using this quick formula guarantees even coverage and a healthy, vibrant garden bed.
