"Paul Bryan and his team arrived exactly when they said they would, performed the work in a very professional manner, cleaned up what little mess they made, and left. We're thrilled with the work they did. Would we hire them again? We already have, for another job that starts next month. Fantastic company!"

"This company was very professional.  We had four estimates completed for our project and this was the second best.  Their price was slightly higher than the company that we chose.  When they called to follow-up, they did offer to match the price of the window installation if we also did the siding but we had already signed a contract with the selected provider.  While we did not select themf for our current project, we would consider using this company in the future. <br />"

WOODHAM CABINET SHOP

"We contacted Woodham Cabinet shop after seeing some of their work at a commercial establishment. We visited their shop personally, to check out their construction capability. The shop has a nice showroom which makes it much easier to visualize how the different combinations of woods, stains, woodworking and hardware might look. We had been trying to visualize how the custom built drawers might look depending on how deep the drawers would be, and how wide to make the cabinets, etc. The draftsman was able to show us a rendering on computer that gave us a good of idea of what would work in our limited bathroom space. The. Woodhams took extra time consulting with us and advising us on the best combinations. Then Mr. Woodham personally came to our house did measurements to be sure the cabinets would fit. The cabinets are designed on computer and the actual cutting is done by computerized saws so the cuts are precise. This was important to us because of the limited space we would have to install them. We signed the contract around the first of May. The final contract amount was within just a few dollars of the preliminary estimate. The cabinets were ready in three weeks as promised, which was exactly the schedule we had anticipated. Installers arrived on the day and time promised, and were very professional, polite, easy to talk to, and finished the work expertly and quickly. The cabinets are beautiful and fit like a glove. As sometimes happens our projected schedule for finishing the project had got off track (no fault of Woodham) so we had to leave one cabinet not installed even though it had been delivered as promised. Mr. Woodham understood the situation and patiently waited until we were ready for the installation. It took almost 2 months to straighten out the schedule. Once we had the room ready for the last cabinet to be installed, Mr. Woodham went above and beyond expectation to send a technician to do the installation so that we could stay on schedule  The installer showed up exactly as promised, finished it expertly and quickly. We highly recommend the Woodham Cabinet shop for expert custom cabinet work. <br />"

"I had a bad experience with them. I did not like them. One of their machines broke down and one of the chairs was absolutely soaked. It was not good so I hired somebody else this year. Their machine broke down and that bothered me. They supposedly fixed it right then and there but they didn't fix the machine."

"The package was to include caulking and minor repairs, all exterior painting, washing and prepping of all surfaces, and labor. Paint was to be paid for by the homeowner. We ALSO had to purchase the caulking, the blue tape and papers for covering the windows. They were to start on either March 31 or April 1, but when I called Mike to let him know they could start on Apr. 1, he said they had another job to do that day, and they would start on April 2. They did start on April 2nd, but never showed up until almost 10 in the morning, and the same thing happened on the two following days. Mike did very little of the actual work, he left many, many times, especially on the first 2 days. He seemed to spend a lot of time on his cell phone, when the others were working. His "helpers', Julian and Marty, did 90% or more of the actual work, and they worked well. On the third day, when they thought they were done and were packing up to leave, we had to point out to them areas that needed to be touched up or finished. They also had to use our ladders which were in our garage, as they didn't seem to have any of their own. <br />     I also hired Mike to pressure wash our pool deck and fence, and we'd agreed on a price ($200) but the work was done by Marty and Julian, again. Mike told me at least 3 times during the course of the 3 days that he hadn't been paid by Angie's List yet, that Angie's List took 30% of his pay, and asked more than once about the price of the pressure washing. I told him that I paid up front for the entire job when I contracted him on Angie's List. We were considering having some additional staining or painting work done to the fence by Mike, but changed our minds by the third day. I feel that he may be having some financial stress, but that is not my concern with a contractor. I expect the contractor to keep his personal problems to himself. <br />"

FAQs for cabinets refinish projects in Graceville, FL

To find the best cabinet refinishing expert for your project, start by researching local pros and reading reviews from previous customers. Reach out to a few contractors to discuss your cabinets' size, condition, and the look you're aiming for. Don't hesitate to ask for references or examples of their past work. Speaking with previous clients can give you valuable insights into the pro's workmanship and reliability.

When speaking with potential cabinet refinishing pros, consider asking them several questions to gauge their experience and professionalism. These questions can help you gauge the pro's experience and determine if they align with your needs.

  • Do you offer a guarantee on your work?

  • Can you create custom finishes or colors?

  • Do you have examples or samples of your past projects?

  • Are you able to match the finish to other cabinets in my home?

  • How long will the project take from start to finish?

Regular care will help maintain the beauty of your cabinets for years to come. To keep your refinished cabinets looking their best, follow these steps:

  • Use gentle cleaners: Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that can damage the finish. A simple mixture of warm water and mild dish soap works well.

  • Clean carefully: Instead of spraying solutions directly onto the cabinets, apply them to a soft microfiber cloth and wipe gently.

  • Protect from heat and moisture: Try to minimize exposure to excessive heat or moisture, which can affect the finish over time.

It's usually less costly to refinish cabinets than to replace them, depending on the cabinet condition. Refinishing cabinets cost an average of $3,114 while replacing cabinets is about $5,000 or more. When deciding to refinish or replace cabinets, consider several factors, including how old your cabinets are, your budget, and whether you need to complete any other renovation projects at the same time.

It may be worth resurfacing (also known as refacing) your cabinets if they’re in good shape but you’re interested in a different look. This is often less expensive than replacing cabinets outright and can allow you to update the look of your cabinets to reflect your kitchen’s current style without having to get rid of them entirely. The cost to reface cabinets is around $4,300 to $10,000, and you can hire a local cabinet refacing pro to handle this work.

Refinishing cabinets takes about two to three days to complete. The process begins with removing cabinet doors, drawers, and hardware, followed by cleaning, stripping, and sanding the surfaces. Any chips, stains, or splits are repaired before applying paint or stain. After applying the finish, the cabinets are reassembled, and the workspace is cleaned up, leaving your cabinets refreshed and renewed.
