"I have used Certified Carpets for many years and have always found that their work made my carpets look like they had never had a spot on them no matter how dirty they were to begin with. My 13 year old carpets look like new 6 months+ since they were cleaned and not only clean but with good texture. They have cleaned my upholstered couches in the past as well. This is the most reliable service company you can ask for in terms of their commitment to doing it right and very pleasant people to have in your home."

"Last week our kitchen sink was clogged. LBA sent a plumber out and they tried to use their auger to clear the clog, but they could not get it cleared. The plumber told us they would need to come out a couple days later and use the jetter to clear the clog. The plumber said it would fix the problem and that it would be $765. We desperately needed our sink fixed and figured since we were part of the LBA rewards program that it was going to be the best deal. The LBA plumber came back out three days later and used the jetter on our sink drain. After two hours, he said that he did his best but it would take too long with the jetter to get the drain cleared. The plumber suggested we would need to cut a hole in our basement ceiling and replace the pipe which would cost $1800 (plus however much it cost to fix the ceiling). We still had to pay LBA the full $765 for the jetter even though they had not cleared our drain. After the plumber left, we noticed that he left deep scratches all over our hardwood floors around the kitchen sink. We called LBAs office to complain, and they said they did their best, the $765 charge was for "the attempt," not actually for clearing the drain, and that the scratches in the hardwood couldn't be from the plumber because he had a blanket down. Later that afternoon, we discovered that the sink was now dripping water into the cabinet below. We finally called another company who came out right away. This company said that the LBA plumber who worked on the drain before had left out a washer when he put the sink back together and that's what was causing the leak. This other company also cleared the clog in our sink in under an hour for less than $200. No jetter or pipe replacements needed. We can not help but feel like LBA scammed us. After being loyal customers for years, we will not be using them going forward and advising everyone we know to do the same."

FAQs for air ducts & vents cleaning service projects in Grandview, MO

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) states that air duct cleaning is not required unless visible issues such as mold buildup, rodent droppings, or excessive dust are present. When such conditions exist, cleaning becomes essential to protect indoor air quality and maintain HVAC efficiency. This approach minimizes potential health risks and extends the system’s life.

Air ducts must be cleaned every three to five years as required by NADCA to preserve system efficiency and indoor air quality. The EPA insists that cleaning is necessary only when significant issues such as mold, pest infestations, or heavy dust accumulation are evident. Annual inspections by a certified professional promptly address any emerging concerns.

The ideal seasons for air duct cleaning are spring and fall. Cleaning during these periods prepares your HVAC system for the demands of both winter heating and summer cooling. These seasons provide moderate weather conditions that enable efficient service completion while minimizing disruption, ensuring your system performs at its peak.

Professional air duct cleaning takes a fixed duration of two to five hours, depending on the home’s size and the complexity of the duct system. Smaller residences with standard ductwork complete the service in two hours, while larger homes with extensive ducts require up to five hours. Additional repairs may extend this duration.

To prepare for professional air duct cleaning, ensure all vents are unobstructed by moving nearby furniture and clearing pathways. Secure any pets in a safe area and confirm that your HVAC system units are easily accessible for technician inspection. Proper preparation contributes to a higher quality service outcome and prevents delays, allowing the cleaning process to proceed efficiently.
