"It was a big build. Coordination of trades was important. Their work to navigate permits with multiple government agencies kept the project on track and on budget. . It's drawn a lot of neighborhood attention. One of the goals was to make this large shop fit into the neighborhood. Job well done. "

"I asked them to remodel a 150 year old farmhouse for me so I could stay in my home and able to live comfortably with everything on the main floor as I am 88. They have done a beautiful job. They are a pleasure & joy to have around. When theyâ re here. His young man is an amazing painter and carpenter. They have gone out of their way to make sure I was comfortable & not put out. Whenever they left the house was clean. I am going to hire them again and recommend them to my friends. I didnâ t know them before but now I consider them to be my friends"

"100% Recommend Brad Pipe Remodeling. Our remodel project was well done from start to finish. Here are the things we were very happy with: 1. They do impeccable work. They are fussy about every detail! We love our new space. 2. The communication. We received daily updates about what was being done and what was coming up next. 3. The timeline. They finished a full month ahead of schedule! 4. Their professionalism. They were respectful of our time and our space."

"Alex did a phenomenal job on the framing work that was done in my basement! He was very helpful in setting up additional electrical and drywall quotes and work as well. I would highly recommend OCD Building and Remodeling for any projects you might have in the future. Alex explained the process step-by-step and his craftsmanship on the framing work was excellent!"

"We were very pleased with Rockwood Construction Overall. Dave Gridley and Bob Sorensen are very professional and great to work with. This was a large project which started in September 2014 and finished in January 2015. We had to remove load-bearing walls and move heating/cooling ductwork and they did a great job. We were also very pleased with the extensive work that the electric employees did for the project. We had not done any remodeling prior to this, so we did not know what to expect. Obviously, there are things that go wrong for every project, but any issues we had were resolved.  <br /> Our project included:  <br /> New Flooring, new cabinetry, new countertops & backsplash, new sink/faucet, all new appliances, enlarge and bump out existing laundry room, add wainscoting woodwork to dining area, move and reinstall all old cabinetry to garage, add new sink in garage, new woodwork/coat racks etc in laundry room, sanding/painting of banister, all new lighting fixtures.  <br /> We were also pleased  with the team of people that Rockwood employs to do the demolition and finished carpentry. We would use this company again for future projects."

"Ted and Mack are fantastic people - hands down the best contractors my wife and I have worked with over the years. They completed a four-month renovation of the lower level walkout of our home in Ada. From the design phase in partnership with their contracted designer, Kristie Koning (who's also a rockstar btw!), to the actual construction, Ted, Mack, and the entire crew were phenomenal. They are true craftsman, providing significant attention to detail and quality. We really enjoyed the collaborative nature of the relationship. They would listen to our ideas and we'd work together to find the optimal solution or design that would fit our budget and desired end result. Lastly, the communication and timeliness of Ted, Mack, and their subs was impeccable. You hear horror stories of contractors deprioritizing projects or taking on too much - this was not that case. I could always get a hold of Ted and/or Mack immediately or within a few hours of contacting them, and they were always on the job on time with minimal disruption to our overall schedule! I'd hire PCR again in a heartbeat!"

"The new porch will be maintenance free since the old wooden decking has now been replaced with composite.  Matt and Jeff are so conscientious and thorough and it shows through from the beginning of the job to completion.  In addition, Matt helped us greatly with his creativity and great eye for what works and what doesn't in terms of design and color.   <br>We did obtain three different bids and Matt's was the highest but in the end, as the old saying goes, "you get what you pay for". Now that the job is done, we are so glad we decided to go with Build LLC for this job!  Matt and Jeff both demonstrate pride in every facet of the work they do.   <br>We have more interior "refreshing" work to accomplish over the winter and we'll be hiring Matt for this work as well.  We would gladly and without hesitation,  recommend Matt and Build LLC for any work that you may need.  <br> <br> <br>"

FAQs for remodel to accommodate a disability projects in Grandville, MI

Standard Medicare coverage often doesn't extend to home modifications, such as roll-in showers. In specific circumstances where medical necessity is clearly established, limited coverage might be available through certain Medicare programs. Many homeowners explore alternative funding sources such as home modification grants, veterans' benefits, or specialized financing programs designed for accessibility improvements. Consulting with a Medicare representative about your specific situation provides the most accurate guidance.

Roll-in showers deliver significant benefits beyond their monetary return, particularly in terms of safety, independence, and long-term accessibility. By eliminating barriers to bathing, these installations help prevent falls while accommodating mobility devices, such as wheelchairs or walkers. Their open design creates a contemporary appearance that appeals to many homebuyers. For households planning to age in place or accommodate family members with mobility challenges, the functional advantages often outweigh pure financial considerations.

A standard roll-in shower installation takes two to four days. Projects requiring extensive renovation or plumbing changes may take longer, potentially extending to several weeks or months. Factors affecting the timeline include existing bathroom configuration, permit processing times, contractor availability, and material delivery schedules. Creating proper drainage slopes often requires additional preparation time compared to traditional shower installations, particularly when modifying existing floor structures.
