"Mike was very professional from the first phone call. He came that evening when he said he would to give us a estimate.
We originally called for a estimate on staining our fence front and back and after talking with Mike we also asked him to pressure wash the house. He came when he said he would and did everything we asked, he even went the extra mile and stained our yard swing the same color as the fence.
We were so happy with the job he did on the fence we then asked him to stain our deck, we had tried to stain it on our own last year and had really made a mess. He had to work really hard to get the stain off but he did a great job and our deck looks so good.
It was a pleasure to work with Mike and we are very pleased with the work he did and will definitely use him again. He is prompt and does a high quality job. Our fence and deck look great and we have received compliments from friends and neighbors, we highly recommend him.

"The tile work was using travertine natural stone with a lot of high end detail. The price shown was labor only I provided all of the materials as I wanted a higher quality of stone than could be purchased in the Outer Banks. Michael did an outstanding job. In fact my husband commented that he had never seen such perfect grouting on a listello before. He removed all of the old stuff and no damage to the house although there was a lot of tile dusts use to it being natural stone. My only issue was that the job took longer than either he or I anticipated. I wish I had given him a absolute need by finish date before starting. "The owner was prompt in responding to my special deal purchase and it was quick and easy to schedule our appointment. He showed up promptly, was was professional, thorough, and friendly. The gutters that met the coupon’s criteria were cleared. We are hiring again to clean the gutters that were higher (3-story) and more running feet than specified, and also to do wood rot repair around our home’s exterior that he noticed. The coupon was a good value for the work performed, and the quote on the additional work to be performed also is fair. "John and his crew painted the exterior of our 3 story rental house in Avon. We selected the paint, as agreed, and they did the job. Beautifully done and as fast as this Hatteras Island weather in January allowed. Everything cleaned up, the porches and stairs power-washed. What a difference! John should be proud of the beautiful job he does. If you wish and can, drive down to 39262 Wahoo Circle in Avon to take a look at our like-new house. "Mr. Hargrove was extremely prompt and professional when first contacted to make a bid.  His initial evaluation was thorough and his bid well itemized.  There was additional damage found as wood from affected areas were removed, his team reported it immediately and the bid was adjusted accordingly.  Mr. Hargrove was very intentional and deliberate about keeping in constant contact with us and all the monetary adjustments were very reasonable.
 His team was very responsive to questions and observations as the work was being done.  Extra care was also taken to clean up after the work was completed.  Though Mr. Hargrove was very professional in every other way, it would have been easier for us if they accepted major credit cards.  Overall, we would whole-heartedly recommend Hargrove's Home Improvement and we thank Mr. Hargrove and his team for an extremely difficult job well done.
