"The person who recommended Victor said he was "one of the good guys." I would agree. First contractor I ever worked with who I had to ask for an invoice, rather than wanting a large amount of money up front and then you worry if you will ever see them again. His carpentry skills are exceptional. He was very flexible, since as with most remodels, it is sort of a moving target, with many changes and additions along the way. Once the job started there was activity every day, with few exceptions, until the job was complete. We are quite happy with the completed project."

"JNP Construction and Rick Bradshaw are my go to contractors for all our projects. This has included a fully remodeled master bath, Guest bath and kitchen. He handles each project challenge with his customary extreme knowledge and coordination with all subs and the county. Every new construction related problem, Rick is my first call."

"They did a fantastic job. The builder was very flexible with the many changes we made in a timely manner. We are very pleased with how the home turned out and we would highly recommend him. He was very fair with his pricing and did a lot of things for us that went above and beyond. We would definitely build with them again if ever needed."

"David Riggs is the owner of Opening Doors Remodeling. We would definitely recommend him to our friends. He is an upfront, honest and hardworking guy. He offered useful suggestions about what type of materials to purchase but was quite willing to work with whatever we went with in the end. He came on time and finished all of the work in the time he stated (2 weeks). He is a good craftsman and his work is meticulous. He also, very kindly, fixed our back door saying he couldn't stand it jamming every time he went in or out. The charges for his work were very reasonable. And, oh yes, the bathroom looks great! <br />"

"Design Your Basement is an amazing service that's helping us finish our basement, so that our family can enjoy our entire house. The design process was fast and seamless. The team at Design Your Basement provides great customer service and helped us identify design opportunities that we never would have thought to include. Not long after contacting Design Your Basement, the professionals were there to measure our basement. In no time at all, they had design ready for our review, which was based on our feedback. We enjoyed our design presentation meeting and it was easy to make the changes we wanted from the initial draft design. In addition, the 3D walk-through made it easy to envision how the basement will look before anything was done. Contractors from Design Your Basement are now helping us with framing and consulting with us on DIY portions of the project. We strongly recommend Design Your Basement."

FAQs for remodel to accommodate a disability projects in Grants Pass, OR

Standard Medicare coverage often doesn't extend to home modifications, such as roll-in showers. In specific circumstances where medical necessity is clearly established, limited coverage might be available through certain Medicare programs. Many homeowners explore alternative funding sources such as home modification grants, veterans' benefits, or specialized financing programs designed for accessibility improvements. Consulting with a Medicare representative about your specific situation provides the most accurate guidance.

Roll-in showers deliver significant benefits beyond their monetary return, particularly in terms of safety, independence, and long-term accessibility. By eliminating barriers to bathing, these installations help prevent falls while accommodating mobility devices, such as wheelchairs or walkers. Their open design creates a contemporary appearance that appeals to many homebuyers. For households planning to age in place or accommodate family members with mobility challenges, the functional advantages often outweigh pure financial considerations.

A standard roll-in shower installation takes two to four days. Projects requiring extensive renovation or plumbing changes may take longer, potentially extending to several weeks or months. Factors affecting the timeline include existing bathroom configuration, permit processing times, contractor availability, and material delivery schedules. Creating proper drainage slopes often requires additional preparation time compared to traditional shower installations, particularly when modifying existing floor structures.
