"I was VERY pleased with the CertaPro Painters (Berkeley) team - from Kevin (the sales guy who came out to scope the work and provide a quote), to Deon (Production Manager), Hieme (foreman), and the guys who did the prep, painting, and carpentry work that was required. They were easy to work with and professional, and the quality of work was really good. I particularly appreciated how flexible and open they were to my requests as the project progressed - no attitude or unnecessary complexity. I would work with them again and recommend them."

"Francisco and crew are really great guys ! They were very professional and got my house painted in record time ! They did a great job from start to finish. I have an old house 1907, and they took great care in masking off the trim, stained glass windows, etc. They were very pleasant while they were working. The price was very fair and the work is outstanding !"

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Graton, CA

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
