"Amazing! Mike came out for a quote and was able to service the same day for the doggie door. He did great work and was very meticulous with details. He was able to recommend placement of the door and was helpful in purchasing a high quality doggie door. We would highly recommend Mike. He will be doing more work for us in the future."

"The service was excellent! They arrived to pick up the vehicle a day earlier which was great. They delivered the vehicle right to my daughter's door and found a side street to unload. The service was delivered within the time frame given. All of my questions were answered via phone or email and the paperwork was seamless and the price was very reasonable."

"I contracted Eric to restore my dining room walls, ceiling and floors after ice-**** damage. At first, everything went well, and Eric was very responsive. Because we had to wait for the hardwood flooring to arrive, the job dragged on for weeks--actually for a few months, and as time went on, it was clear that my job was a "filler." Eric's team worked on the project when they had time. The guys who showed up were all very nice, but from what I could tell, they lacked the skills and/or attention to detail that I believed was warranted. (The painting lines along the ceiling line is very jagged and inconsistent. There are areas along the wall where the painting was incomplete. The hardwood planks are installed such that unstained sides show, and the wall retexturing does not match the existing.) I sent many emails to Eric, after nearly every time one of his team members worked on the project, explaining my concerns, as well as my uncertainty about the quality of work I should/could expect from him and his team. He always sent someone to address the issue, but they always left without fixing the problem/s. Needless to say, the back and forth was frustrating, and toward the end, I became resolved that I wasn't going to get the level of workmanship I had hoped for. I requested that Eric come to my home and meet with me. Maybe I was being too fastidious, and if so I wanted him to review the inconsistencies with me and let me know if he thought I should/could expect a fix. Eric refused to come meet me. In an email, he said he "had no intention" of coming. He was too busy elsewhere, but he'd send his "No. 1 guy." That guy showed up, and he too was very nice, he did not adequately address my concerns. At that point, I gave up and just agreed to send the final payment. I'm left very disappointed that he chose not to meet with me to review my concerns. Furthermore, besides being unsuccessful at completing the job satisfactorily, the "No. 1 guy" left a terrible mess from the spray-on texturing application he used to "fix" the job. And given that it took them a lot of tries to match both the color and type of paint, they ended up with about a dozen gallon cans, all of which they left in my garage, along with extra insulation that I then had to dispose of. The photos include examples of what was done in 2012 and what was done recently by Remedy Residential."

"<strong>How'd it go? Perfect!</strong> Peter met and exceeded my expectations. <br /> I sought bids from three vendors for this project. I choose Peter because of his listening skills and attention to details. He spotted all the areas needing attention without me pointing them out. What I wanted was a variation of a Shaker door, and he was able to provide the custom touch. The stain color is a perfect match and the reconditioning of the cabinet carcasses made them look and feel nearly brand new. The quality of his work is outstanding. <br /> As a single woman, I need service providers I can trust to be looking out for me in an honest, ethical manner. I have been disappointed far too many times with other home improvement projects. What a treat it is to feel positive about a service provider before, during, and after the project is completed. His estimate wasn't the lowest of the three vendors, however, the decision to go with Nova/Peter was a no brainer. The others were slick salesmen trying to sell me in their product/stain color, or were patronizing. Peter simply listened to what I wanted and discussed what he could provide. Without me asking, he provided several options that allowed me to determine how much I wanted to invest in the project.  <br /> I scheduled the project about 6 months ahead of time. Between the initial visit through the project, Peter's level of communication was appropriate... staying in touch without bothering me too much. When he came to take the final measurements, he clearly remembered what we discussed months before. It was fun to watch him work and identify potential challenges he needed to anticipate. <br /> I can recommend Peter with confidence. <br /> My thanks to Angie's List and to Nova's previous customers who provided reviews. Next time I have a major project, I will definitely use Angie's List to identify service providers. <br />"

"Dave is everything you want but don't expect from a contractor.  From the first time I met him I trusted him immediately.  My situation with the kitchen back splash turned out to be a real pain and I thought it would never be done.  We had granite counter top installed and the original back splash had to be removed which left behind a broken drywall mess.  My husband cut the damaged dry wall out so it would stop making drywall dust all over our kitchen areas as well as be ready for new drywall and tile.   <br /> I ordered the tile over the internet and unfortunately the company I purchased from had serious problems with getting the tile to me.  Part of my order came immediately but the rest did not come when promised or was partially shipped.  This happened about 5-6 times which in turn made Dave change his plans and re-schedule to finish my project.  He was very understanding and accommodating every time there was another set back with the tile.   <br /> Here are all the good things about using Dave to do work in your home:  He is on time, every time.  He is easy to communicate with by phone and responds quickly to emails and text.  He is honest and very knowledgeable.  He takes a lot of time to explain things and make sure you have all of your questions answered.  He had great suggestions for my project.  He cleans up after himself so well you can't even tell if there was a mess.  And, drum roll please..........he goes the extra mile!  He does extra little things that could be done but weren't in the original bid or weren't discussed, just to make sure EVERY thing is done to completion.  Seriously, besides the honesty and promises fulfilled, my favorite thing is someone actually doing their job well and going beyond expectations.  Projects like home remodeling would not be nearly as painful if every person involved did their job like Dave. <br />"

"Initially we had a 36" door with single pane glass side panel in our entry way. The door used an old (falling apart) mortise lock. Between the not-always-functioning lock and glass window, we had all kinds of problems. We decided we wanted french doors in the front and were looking to replace with (2) 36" panel doors. Brian came by and bid out the project and we accepted the bid, decided on a style of door, and scheduled to have someone come do an initial inspection (actually pulling out the jam to make sure everything would fit.) Sadly, the inspection showed that we only had a 73" opening and for the double doors we need a minimum of 74". Due to the age of the house, the work to be done to gain the extra inch of space was well outside of budget. Brian suggested looking at (2) 32" panels, but I wasn't sure if I wanted the smaller doors. After talking with Brian and playing with a lot of doors, we decided to go with the 32" panel doors. Ordering the doors took a while (I think we signed the order in January and the doors showed up in March), but once they were in, Sean came by and got everything done in the course of a couple days. I was shocked how quickly he was able to get everything roughed in and set up. New door looks great!"
