"I hired them to fix a prior electricianâ s installation of a hardwired camera doorbell that was not installed properly. They pinpointed the problem immediately and fixed it. Jeff and Brandon made me feel comfortable and kept me updated as they worked. I would not hesitate to recommend them for any electrical work."

Customers say: Quality work

"It went really well. I was satisfied with how timely they were able to get an estimate, come out to our home and do the work. I was also happy that they returned to fill in the trench, and jump the charger so we could power our vehicle immediately. Chad and Mike did the work at our house, but Tim and Loretta were also very courteous and helpful."

"Joshua came to my home because I’ve lost power in parts of my home. He took a look at my homes electrical system and then we sat down where he explained the issue to me. He worked hard and even pulled a permit for the job and because of his hard work my home has all of its power back on."

Sometimes you open up an outlet and you find this. I am glad that it did not turn into something more.

"I needed some recessed lighting installed in my living room and I was referred to DB Electrical by a friend. It was such a wonderful experience from beginning to end. Not only was the young man professional, he was very knowledgeable and polite. He arrived on time and completed the job in a few hours. I was also impressed with how well he cleaned up after himself when he was finished.I have some other electrical work that I need done and will definitely use him again. I highly recommend this business if you are looking for a nice, dependable company to do work at your home or business."

"Writer is a true professional and electrical guru. He arrived within the allotted time frame, got right to work and quickly identified the problem. He even welcomed me to watch him while he worked as he explained the intricacies of the electrical outlet (which was a GFCI multi-branched oulet, connected to other garage and bathroom outlets). It was clear he knew what he was doing. I would recommend him for any electrical problem or fresh installation, and plan to hire him in the future for other electrical projects I have around my house."

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Grosse Pointe, MI

Because installing coax outlets involves working around existing electrical wiring and confirming proper grounding, many homeowners prefer to hire a licensed electrician. A professional completes the work safely, secures the line behind the wall, and ensures the installation meets local code, which reduces the risk of damage or future repairs.

You still need a coaxial outlet for most cable-based internet services. The modem draws its signal from a cable line that terminates at a dedicated wall jack. Once the modem is online, your Wi-Fi router can broadcast the signal throughout the home, so the outlet’s location doesn’t affect wireless performance. If an existing jack is damaged or in an inconvenient spot, an electrician can move it or install a new one to maintain a strong, reliable connection.

Coaxial cable loses signal strength the farther it runs. A 50-foot length introduces noticeable loss, and a 100-foot stretch can drop the signal by roughly 30%. A weaker signal can result in a fuzzy picture or slower internet speeds. To maintain high performance, limit cable length whenever possible, select the correct cable grade, and route it efficiently. If your layout demands an exceptionally long run, an electrician can install an inline amplifier to boost the signal and maintain picture or data quality.
