Small jobs welcome

"I hired local landscapers to do a lot of work that he (Javier Gonzà ¡lez) guaranteed he could doâ ¦ He broke up some concrete patio slabs and removed them, he put some landscaping concrete pieces down around my trees and bushes, and he planted some trees and bushes for me. He also helped me get my sprinkler system installed. He did not install it, he hired somebody to install it but he is who I paid for the job. He was supposed to put sod down for me and complete the landscaping job but he never did. He was also going to build a pergola for me, but he never did. He was not responsive to text messages and did not show up when he said he would show up. I have had to hire three other companies to repair the work that he did poorly or incorrectly, or that he left half done. Things as simple as the fabric that he put down before putting the mulch in the flowerbeds and tree beds were done poorly, the fabric was not secured to the ground, and the mulch was sparse. He said he would add more, but never did. The sprinkler system was installed poorly such that two of my Cypress trees have died and my Japanese maple may die as well. Portions of my yard were not getting watered so I had to water it by hand to keep my grass and plants from dying. I hired an irrigation company to make the best of a bad sprinkler installation. They put more appropriate sprinkler heads, and a drip line to address the areas of my yard that werenâ  t getting watered. It was either this, or completely redo this sprinkler system. If there is a next time, I will definitely hire an irrigation specialist to install my sprinkler system. Javier assured me that he had a guy who could do it and do it well. He was wrong. Javier is friendly enough, but does not keep his word and cannot be counted on to show up when he says he will show up, to complete a job that he committed to, Youâ  ve been warned!"

"It went great. There was a long wait due to other jobs scheduled before mine and also weeks of rain, but it was well worth the wait. It turned out beautifully. The crew was nice, very hard working and very talented. Clint was super to work with. I would highly recommend this company."

"I met John the owner of integrity landscape when I delivered sod to job he was doing. I told him about my mom needing landscape work done on her yard. She had English Ivey in her front yard that had died due to someone spraying the wrong chemical on it. I ask John if he would be interested in doing the work he said yes. I met him later date to meet my mom and give estimate of job. He gave price 6 thousand dollars to plant English Ivey. Mom agreed to the price. Later on I found out John went to my moms house told her he needed check for about half the amount to start the job. he never said anything to me or my mom about needing money upfront. Mom gave him a check for half the amount. I called John ask him why he went to mom for money upfront. he said he needed it to buy material etc. i let it go there with out anymore questions because i felt like if i pushed it he would keep what money he got and not do the job. As little more time went by he called said he could not get English Ivey and he talked mom into planting monkey grass instead. he told her it would make great ground cover and keep her yard from washing away. She agrees to this. When he finally started the job about mid July he planted most of the monkey grass in the dirt with out doing any dirt prep work he did bring in some dirt put at and of the yard and put net over it planted monkey grass there. after few days of work he said the job is finish. Mom did not like the work done and him. He took somewhat of hostile attitude told mom your talking about my reputation. she went ahead and paid him to get rid of him. My mom 83 years old and he took advantage of her and bully her in dealing with her. I found out later i could have gotten English Ivey from other places. He charged mom the full 6k even though he bought much cheaper monkey grass. AS of today everything John planted has died and the ground is still washing away. I watered the new grass all summer trying keep it alive but it died anyway. I'm sure the grass died because dirt work was not done. I would not recommend Integrity Landscape at all."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Guntersville, AL

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
