"Not good! Initial appt went well. Lots of ideas and suggestions by the two reps. They rendered artwork on the spot to ensure that their product would match our existing rails. But it went down hill from there. They did warn us that products may be difficult to get in the current climate. We anticipated that. But there was no follow-thru. Weeks went by with no word. We had to frequently call the office with no response. When we did hear, we were told it would be more weeks before installation. We initiated all of the communication., Nor /Cal did not call us to keep us apprised of the progress of the project. When the product was finally installed it looked good and did match the existing iron work. But the progress of the process was horrible. It took over two months from inception to completion for a very small job. If you are not in a hurry, I guess it would be worth it."

"I have called two contractors from internet search, both came ,but only one return with estimate. <br /> I got Garcia from Angieslist , and his quote was much lower . <br /> He provided drawings of the gate design. I decided on the electronics, gate height. <br /> It took a couple of weeks for procuring the material, (after paying a $800 down payment ) <br /> they start installation of the new fences. <br /> A two person crew came and do the installation. It took about 4 sessions. They called the first time, but not all the time. <br /> Its important to to be around during the installation, as this is a replacement job, not a new construction. <br /> Some final custom fitting has to be made to get my approval of job completion. <br /> They were great to work with, I felt they do what they can within reason to satisfy the customer. <br /> I felt I got my money's worth. <br /> <br /> <br />"

How often does that happen? He even did a favor and did the work in a shorter timeframe than he'd normally complete the work as he knew I wanted the use the silver at an event the following week. "Original attempt a total bust. Guy got lost. Took him 2 1/2 hrs to do 30 min trip. After 3 calls from me to office, guy finally called and could speak so little English that I couldn't even help him get un-lost. I cancelled. Do you really want someone working on your electrical who can't find his way out of a paper bag? I felt sorry for the guy......Should he really be sent forth without a map or directions? With computers and technology today, that should not happen. Office called and apologized and said would reschedule and give me an extra hour. I said OK. This time guy who is owner (I think) came with another man and things got done. They cut time in half but man hours were equal except some of the time the one guy was only watching so not as productive. They installed a light fixture (everything was there, they only had to attach wires). It looked good. Second thing was to hang a large oval mirror. Had some difficulty in getting it hung straight, but finally OK. Third was installing new door handles on most interior doors. That went well. Price thru Angie's list was good. I asked regular rates for future work and was told $65/hr. that seemed a bit high for handyman work. Most I have used are in the $35 to $45 an hour range. I gave the owner credit for trying to correct the first disaster. Without that I would have given an F withoutt fail. He tried to do what he could to not have a bad mark. <br />"
