"Eddie was courteous and professional from the first call until the job was done. (Other companies, even A rated ones on this site, failed to provide estimates or failed to come through after providing an estimate, wasting a ton of my time.) They gracefully dealt with the difficulties of working on a weird old house, without adding any cost to me. They even threw in a fix for my attic ladder. I'd be happy to hire Diversified again!"

"This is a top-notch company without a doubt. The plans were well laid out and even included a drawing that gave us an idea of what the finished product would look like. The design was simple but elegant which is exactly what we had hoped for. The price was a bit high given our budget but, when I checked around different sites on the "average" cost of stone work, it seemed reasonable. The workmen spent a day removing the old tree and shrubs and poured a short cement wall around the perimeter of the planting bed. The next day they used mortar to affix beautiful stone to the cement wall. Slate pieces were placed on the top of the short wall all around the perimeter.
The finished bed is exquisite to look at and is the envy of all our neighbors. The designer, Jane, was a gem to work with and we anticipate asking her to design something for our backyard in a few years when we are ready for that project. She found us just the right tree (Autumn Moon Japanese Maple) for the bed and goes beautifully with the brick of our townhome. She selected some shrubs and small plants and left enough room for annual flowers which was perfect. For the large pot we have in a niche by the front entrance, she selected a unique Japanese white pine that gives that spot an artistic flair and makes the whole front look elegant and serene. We would use this company (and the designer) again in the future without reservation.
"

"I contacted BK based on a word of mouth recommendation from a neighbor. Billy came in and we discussed the job, which was painting the complete interior of our new home. Billy was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He measured each area to be painted and we discussed the pros and cons of various paints from several manufacturers. A couple days later, I received the estimate itemized and detailed. We scheduled the work, and the crew came in and did an excellent job. All details needed, such as masking, etc were taken care of. After we started the job, we had a change of mind about the main color for the job and changed it in mid stream. Billy and his crew were very accommodating and right on the ball. We ended up adding a few areas and ceilings but the crew very quickly and competently adjusted. Overall I was very pleased with the job and the professionalism of the crew.
"

"Working with Hunter was a great experience. I was having to move for a job, and needed to get those minor repairs that tend to pile up done so the house could be put on the market. Hunter walked thru the whole house with me, inside & out, and pointed out some minor things in addition to the list that I had jotted down. He made a plan, arrived on-time with his assistant, & the two of them worked for several days. I found Hunter to be very organized, detail-oriented, and sensitive to my situation. His assistant, Buck, was great! Buck came back over the weekend to finish up some of the painting, while the weather was still nice. I really appreciate Hunter's skills, his ability to talk you through what needs to happen, and problem solving. There were a couple of things where I knew there was a problem, & Hunter was able to suggest a cost-effective solution. I would not hesitate to hire him again, for any project, big or small.
"

"Simply put, Brian Miller is the best contractor we have ever worked with--either in West Virginia or any other state we have lived in. It actually took a year to find Brian while we went through six other contractors who were less than satisfactory for different reasons. During our year long search, one contractor left our house for Home Depot and never returned and one highly rated contractor would only estimate the job through pictures and a visit from their sales representative (a process which took two frustrating months). In contrast, Brian spent about 20 hours with us planning the project. We initially talked about replacing the deck and patio under it, but the house had been neglected for years and the previous owner had done a lot of work that wasn't up to code. As a result, work on the deck--and only the deck--could have caused significant damage to our kitchen (which was on top of an enclosure that lacked proper footers). Brian brought out a structural engineer on several occasions and they designed a fix that was easily accepted by the County permitting office and also allowed him to create a beautiful pattern with the wood deck. The demolition actually began the first week of January and the weeks got progressively colder. Brian's team worked at an incredible speed in brutally cold weather. Brian was meticulous in measuring and laying out the footers and deck flooring--working all day in weather that left us frozen after a half hour. During the permitting process, the county said we had to replace our septic system to bring it up to code. Brian actually contacted someone to do the job in two weeks from start to finish--so it didn't impact the rest of the scheduled work at our house. After finishing the deck, the team created a beautiful paver patio underneath it. All the work was beautifully done--even the cinder block and framing under the kitchen--which isn't visible outside the house. The team also replaced rotting wood along the bottom of the house with cinder block and proper outside wood and then replaced siding on that portion of the house, choosing siding that matched the rest of the house. Brian and his team truly took the house from neighborhood eyesore to neighborhood gem. All the neighbors have told us how nice the house looks. Interestingly, everyone has also remarked on how hard the team worked, noting that they never saw them hanging around--rather they worked all day. We are already talking to Brian about another project and highly recommend him.
"

"Absolute quality from start to finish; this company provided us a gorgeous and creative presentation of landscaping options for our side and backyard. We opted to use them because of their professionalism, horticultural knowledge, creativity in design, and competitiveness in pricing. Because they grow their plants and trees on site, there is no middleman involved which would cause an inflated cost estimate. We love our new plantings throughout our yard and look forward to using this company when we install hardscaping.
"

"R&L told me I was "on the schedule" for them to replace the polymeric sand between pavers laid by their firm in 2009, but kept putting it off until freezing weather (prevents work being done until spring). Meanwhile, pavers are exposed to freezing, thawing and potential damage. Their explanation was that they are "too busy" although I requested this work in August and was told they would "get to it." Had the owner told me sooner, I could have hired someone else and the work would be finished.

UPDATE 12/18/14:
The first of December they told me they would NOT do it, but they have changed their minds after I posted a review.
They finally came and satisfactorily completed the work."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Halltown, WV

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
