"My wife and I needed a fence segment installed and a 10ft wide driveway gate to keep our German Shepherd contained the backyard. Northland was hands down a great company and I would recommend them for any fence job. We went with steel wrought iron and it’s absolutely beautiful. We contacted about 8-10 different companies, and Northland’s pricing and options were by far the best. They had a few different styles of fencing and gave us a price breakdown for each one. They were the first company we contacted and they even recommended two other places to see if they would offer a better price, although they did not and we went with Northland regardless. The first step was to remove our old fence, which they did in no time at all, and then they drove the posts into the ground. They came back just over 1 week later to install the fence and gate and they did a wonderful job. If you have Nick and Alejandro installing it they’ll do excellent work. Whenever we need another fencing project complete we will contact Northland. Overall they had great customer service and we couldn’t be happier with the results."

"I usually do not write reviews, especially if they are not good reviews. However, I was not pleased with the work from Outdoor solutions and think it is important to pass this information on to the next customer. The work we had done was several years ago at our old home. We had this company build a large deck, remove tree stumps and do landscaping of the back yard around an existing pool. They also replaced a window with sliding glass doors. Total project cost was roughly $25,000. The work was fair, and not expert. The family owned company, run by the father was difficult to work with. The quote and first interview with Jim was good enough to hire him, but the work done by him and his family/employees was only fair. It was hard to watch and listen to Jim talk and yell at his employees. He also seemed to pull on our heart strings by telling us about his cancer struggles, saying his life expectancy was short, yet I am not certain this was true. The work itself, as I said, was fair. The smaller details of the deck construction (not visible on most photos) was not high quality. Working with Jim was uncomfortable after we hired him. I often felt we could not ask for what we wanted and that we "owed" him something. This is not how a customer should feel. Overall, the feeling left with us after the project was finished was one of relief that we did not have to deal with him or his company anymore. Often, looking back at experiences, this is what sticks with us. I remember specific issues with the work involving us stopping him from doing shotty electrical work without a permit for that work (I did the electrical work with a permit myself). After showing my spouse what I have written so far, we are mostly in agreement about this review. She added that they got an "F" grade for when they found and removed drain tile from around our pool which lead to rework of that area by a different contractor due to flooding issues. She also stated that we felt manipulated by Jim's personality. In addition I will add that the work itself was rated as a "B-" to "C". Dealing with Jim and his personality was a negative for us and we realize our experience with his personality will not be everyone's experience. If you hire him, I hope this helps you know what you are in for. I am sorry to feel I need to pass this information on to others in the hope of helping someone else out in their search for a good contractor. I also hope that Jim learns from past mistakes and gets better in his customer service and care."

"We got five quotes in April and Midwest was the second cheapest. Our neighbor used them for a similar material fence and it looked nice. I was swayed to Midwest for the financing options. The good thing was that the installer crews were always very prompt, and arrived first thing in the morning- almost at 8 a.m. on the dot. We’re disappointed in the level of communication from Midwest. For a company that boasts of installing thousands of fences per year, they sure don’t have their system down. From between the salesperson to the scheduler to the finishing staff to billing, it seems none of them talk to one another. We told our salesperson our initial concerns. We questioned where our property line was. We were assured they would correctly locate it. There was a huge lack of communication in that. At completion, the fence looks fine. The crews worked quickly. We’re a bit of perfectionists and we were disappointed that they flew through some of the steps- building the gates with screws not spaced the same distances, stripping out screw heads, leaving glue residue, etc. Especially for the gates that cost a thousand bucks each and are built on site. The thing I am most disappointed in is that NO one has called me following completion to see how we are satisfied with it. This just seems like strange business practice because every other home improvement we have contracted out has them meeting with us to go over the final product and final out the job- siding, concrete, roof, etc. The only person who called me was a rude business person wanting the final payment. I said there are things we needed fixed and had called the finishing crew, which illicited a huffing sigh. They need to work on communication between staff and start to finish job progress tracking. It’s sad when the cable company has a better tracking record of who and when you talked to them about specific issues."

"Chad Fox is one very hard worker and he runs an incredibly impressive crew!  You don't know what impressive work is until you've worked with these guys...and I'm a bit on the picky side. <br /> I contacted Spiral Fence because I had heard great things about their work from a friend.  Chad responded very quickly to my inquiry with every detail I needed.  Once I finally made up my mind on the style and gathered my deposit together, I called him again with the green light.   <br /> This project was smooth sailing from start to finish!  Chad <strong>ALWAYS </strong>made sure to keep me informed of the timeline and the project status.  I <strong>NEVER </strong>had to contact him for more information--he was <strong>ALWAYS</strong> 5 steps ahead of my needs.   <br /> As cliche' as it sounds, I really did feel like I was his only customer.  I swear he must work 20 hours out of every day to be this responsive and thorough.  I've never met a contractor like him before.  I really think EVERYTHING matters to him and his crew: quality, responsiveness and professionalism. They cleaned up every tiny piece of lumber they cut up and I even saw one of the crew members closely inspecting the work piece by piece when they were done...and then Chad came through and checked it again. <br /> I absolutely <strong>LOVE </strong>the fence they built for me and I absolutely <strong>LOVED </strong>working with this company.  I have zero complaints and <strong>TONS OF WONDERFUL COMPLIMENTS </strong>to offer on their work.  I recommend them to everyone! <br /> Great job guys!!!"

"Working with Artistic Fence was a great experience.  We needed a fence that could contain a dog that can climb chain link, but didn't want a privacy fence to cut us off from our neighbors.  Amy from Artistic Fence came and looked over our property, talked about our options for our fence, and wrote out a bid right there.  She answered all my questions, and was very helpful and professional.  Their bid came in on the low end of the quotes we got.  Their building timeline was reasonable, even though it was the busy season for new fences, and the folks that came to build the fence where prompt, and impressively efficient.  The fence is exactly what we hoped for, and is beautifully done.  We couldn't be happier with it.   <br /> I really recommend Artistic Fence. <br /> <br /> Update: A few months after the fence was installed, a few of the wooden caps that cover the fence posts began to split, assumedly because of water.  I called them, they sent someone out, and replaced the broken parts free of charge under the warranty."

"Dave contacted me after I had submitted a job via Angie's List SnapFix. He e-mailed me in the evening saying that he was going to call me the next morning on a Saturday. Promptly around 8 a.m., he called me. He came right out within a half hour to come look and give an estimate for the job. <br /> I took a couple days to decide. While another contractor had given me a ballpark estimate which was a little less than his, they hadn't returned my calls, so I decided to go with Dave. I called him on Monday to let him know. The other contractor called me that afternoon to schedule an estimate, but I told him that I already went with someone else earlier that morning. I think it was like 2-3 days later, Dave called to say that the hand railings were ready and he'd come by within the hour to install them. I really think it was like only 2 days. I was so surprised as his speediness. <br /> He hit a snafu while installing the railings, but he was able to work through it. He also helped me with painting some metal flashing that I had in front of my door. Overall, I was very pleased and it was such a relief to work with somebody who was eager to do the work and did it well and promptly. I really appreciate the ease, and multiple people have complimented on how beautiful the hand railings look! <br />"

"We turned to All Around after our home had received hail damage. Our insurance company was making the claim process difficult, and was pushing to only do partial replacement of the siding. I had gone a few rounds with my insurance company already, and frankly my expectations were pretty low about getting them to cover full replacement of our siding. Robert was our project coordinator and did an outstanding job helping us understand the process, answering our questions, and working tirelessly advocating for us to ensure the claim covered the work that needed to be done. There were several twists and turns over the life of the project, but through it all Robert and his team stuck with us and saw it through. Their professionalism, patience, and persistence throughout the long process made this success possible. The work was completed when scheduled and the quality exceeded expectations. I absolutely recommend Robert and the All Around team."

"Honey-Doers staff was awesome to work with. They had everything so scheduled, that our project moved along quickly and our lives were not too disrupted. Everyday, they cleaned up their mess, so that our house didn't look like we had a major remodeling project going on. Afterwards, we were left with two amazing, spa-like bathrooms. Shelly was so great on the front end guiding us through what we needed to do for our selections, and Dan was so responsive during the remodeling with our questions. The rest of the workers were so kind and hard working. We would use them again and would highly recommend them!!"
