"We were beginning a very extensive remodeling project and called upon Dave and ProCrete to assist us with a portion. ProCrete remodeled our basement making it flood elevation compliant. He and his crew did an outstanding job laying foundation, concrete, flood vents etc.. We also called upon ProCrete for some additional work necessary on our home to complete our remodel. In working with Dave he always responded promptly, was highly professional and addressed each aspect with attention to detail in all ways. Dave and ProCrete were always knowledgeable and their professional guidance was important to our decision process. He always communicated with us quickly and clearly. In addition, Dave was compassionate and understanding about our objectives and how to conquer those goals in economical way to suit our budget. He and his crew provided a high level of integrity to each portion of the project they tackled. We have continued to work with Dave and ProCrete as we move through our remodel to its’ final stage and would highly recommend him and his firm."

"Kevin upgraded the brick steps of my South Philadelphia rowhouse by installing bluestone treads and landings. He did a terrific job using quality materials and tools, thoroughly cleaned up afterwards, was reliable and communicative, and charged a reasonable price for a challenging job. I highly recommend KMJ Masonry and would not hesitate to call on them again."

Small jobs welcome

"We recently had work completed on our fireplace chimney and home foundation. Lou repointed and replaced spalling bricks outside and put a weatherproofing on the bricks. We, also, needed fire bricks replaced inside the fireplace. The foundation of our home had some cracks, and Lou said thereâ s a chance we could get water seepage. He proved a quote for each item just in case we didnâ t want all the work done at once. We went ahead with the complete package. He did a marvelous job. Our chimney looks like new. I was totally surprised when it was completed and I got a chance to look at it. We selected gray coloring for the foundation and it looks perfect with our gray siding. Lou was always at our house at the appointed time and always cleaned up before leaving at the end of the day. He kept us informed on work to be done the following day. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for cement work as he is accurate, trustworthy, and excellent at his craft."

A professional repointing lasts 20 to 30 years without maintenance and extends up to 50 years when maintained diligently. This process protects your brickwork using high-quality materials that ensure lasting performance and durability. Consistent upkeep preserves its strength and appearance, providing enduring protection and enhancing your home’s overall structural integrity for decades.

You know your house needs repointing when you notice clear signs such as cracked, flaking, or missing mortar and visible discoloration on the brick surfaces. Additional indicators include loose bricks, water damage, and gaps between the brick joints that compromise the overall integrity of the structure. Addressing these issues promptly protects your investment and sustains the durability and curb appeal of your home.

A house needs repointing to preserve both its structural integrity and visual appeal. Mortar acts as a vital bonding agent that holds the bricks securely together. When the mortar deteriorates, it exposes the structure to water infiltration and further decay, increasing the risk of costly repairs. Repointing stops decay and reinforces the exterior, ensuring long-term protection.
