"Simply put, SHD Construction did an outstanding job making improvements and repairs to my home. I found Steve and Steve (father/son duo) via Angie’s list and was skeptical of all the great reviews. I found them to be extremely friendly, honest, trustworthy and most important, their workmanship was of a very high caliber. My design skills are lacking and they were both able to help me along the way with great design related suggestions. Additionally, they always left the house very clean. A summary of the work performed was as follows: 1. Complete gut and renovation of master bathroom - This included new lights, installation of exhaust fan, buildout of a separate bath, custom glass shower and radiant heat throughout. All of the electrical, plumbing and tile work was completely remodeled and redone to perfection. 2. Replacement of Trim and Stucco in front of home - My home is an older home and after the full demolition of the master bathroom, we noticed that the exterior wall (front of home) was completely rotted out due to a leak in exterior trim molding that was covered in aluminum. As a result, SHD was able to completely replace the trim in the front of the house and replace the rotted wood. This was a large surface area that needed replacement. SHD was able to complete the job from start to finish including stucco and painting. No more leak! 3. Complete gut and renovation of 2nd floor bathroom - This included complete renovation of bathroom including rerouting of plumbing, new electric, radiant heat, new window and new custom glass shower and shower pan. Upon demolition, it was very apparent that the previous contractors that replaced the shower did a very poor job. All of the floor beams were cut in half and the shower that was installed has a leak that rotted out the entire floor. As this was a hazard, SHD worked on correcting the prior mistakes by replacing all of the beams and rotted wood. As the entire bathroom floor has to be replaced, this resulted in the first floor ceiling also needing to be replaced. The work was done quickly and at the end of the work, the ceiling looked better than it did prior. 4. Removal of though-wall air conditioner and fill in of hole/Sheetrock. Overall, we couldn’t be happier with the end result of the work performed. Both bathrooms exceeded our expectations. We have already recommended SHD to others and would definitely have them in for more work in the future."

I had them over to clean my gutters and I witnessed ladders slamming against the side of my house and they tore one of the edges from the corner of my roof with their step ladder. "As an environmentally conscious household, it was important to us to hire a service that used neither harsh chemicals, nor bleach products for roof cleaning. I previously received Roof Renew Pros’ mailer and held onto it for this occasion as we had gotten moss and lichen growth on our roof. I kept the mailer as it stated their use of organic products, as well as no pressure washing, which was very important to us. After reading reviews, we decided to call RRP. Barbara came and inspected our roof, explained what was growing on it and took photos for us to see what was going on up there. There was more moss on our roof than we had initially thought. Barbara went over the process, what would be done on the day of and next day, gave us the price, so we booked our cleaning. The RRP crew arrived on the day, cleaned our roof in a timely manner and applied a sealer to prevent new growth anytime soon. Our roof is now lichen/moss-free and winter ready. It looks like it did when we first moved in. The crew was thorough and very helpful. The price fell within what we expected to pay for such a service and the fact that RRP use organic products, was HUGE to us. We’ll definitely use RRP in the future and totally recommend this company for your roof cleaning! Quality and eco consciousness matters to us, since our home is our biggest investment."

"After 29 years, it was time to replace our 25-year roof. Ansen did the job! Derek was very helpful in helping us choose the correct color. Lots of choices, all quality products. Very informative. Price was very reasonable. Scheduling was great & reliable. He called the evening before to confirm after checking the weather (it was so-so for a few days). If it rains, they have to reschedule. He said they crew would show up around 7:15AM +/- 15 minutes. I got the call at 7:15 as they pulled up to my house. The actual noisy part of the work began around 9 AM to be respectful to the neighbors. 6 sheets of plywood had to be replaced. Derek showed me where and why. He used 1/2" plywood (code) - Douglas fir (quality). Job was completed on time. During the original estimate he recommend replacement of the gutter guards which was also done. Clean-up was thorough. He had to come back once to fix a small problem with a vent hose. He was there when he said he would. He also gave me an extra package of shingles should repairs ever be needed.
