"I will call this “The Good, The Bad and the Ugly review” as I am breaking this review into the 3 teams that we had – 2 very good and done quickly and 1 inferior with the most time spent at our house – thus the overall 3 star grade. The Good • Roofing Team – Grade: A. Efficient, good job, found virtually no nails or roofing materials on the ground • Gutters – Grade: A. One man crew but he knew what he was doing and provided good suggestions for modifying our water flow. The Bad • Siding & Window Team – Grade: C to D. Not sure how they were trained but they didn’t seem to understand some common construction basics. A few of the many examples – o They nailed the siding on wrong and had to start over. o They almost ripped the 120V electrical outlet off the house without turning off the breaker but it was the weekend and we happened to be in the garden and saw them. o Installed the dryer vent wrong twice – once painting it shut and the next time putting on a vent with a label on it saying “not for use with clothes dryers” due to the pre-installed screen. The Ugly • Siding & Window Team – Used caulk as touch up paint on LP Smartside (or just used the siding to clean off their dirty fingers?) – leaving random “chicken pox marks” all over new siding. Garage, driveway and all 4 sides of our house were filled with equipment and garbage for the length of the project. Not the crew to have if you have children or pets – they left old saw blades and other sharp objects around the garage entrance and the house. I didn’t expect a spotless home every night but I didn’t expect to be living with this much disarray with minimal clean up each night, even after asking the supervisor to improve pickup of at least garbage and sharp objects in the garage and the common walking paths. Nor did we expect to be spending our fall cleaning caulk off the “maintenance free” siding and re-painting it and installing our outside boxes correctly. I will give the owner credit for realizing that his siding and window crew did inferior work and giving us a discount on our bill. None-the-less, I am rating the services provided based on the quality of the work done."

"Our house got hit by last years hail storm, we met with a few contractors, we went with Excel based on the initial visit and a referral from a friend. Chris got the job scheduled quickly, replaced the roof and came back a week later to fix the siding issues. Everything went smooth and the work was great."

"It couldn’t have gone better! The crew came tore off the old roof. After they got the old roof off a storm front came through. These guys were up on the roof with a giant tarp strapping it down makin it water tight and I never had a single leak. It’s a pity that it’s a flat roof because it’s truly a work of art and no one else can see it. I’m exceptionally pleased that they have offered to come back in the spring to make sure that everything is still OK. I only have one roof , but if I had another I wouldn’t think twice about hiring them again. They were easy to work with and really know their business."

"Great! Terry patiently and fully answered all of my questions when providing a quote. Curt and his team were efficient with the install, it was done in a short afternoon and they cleaned up well afterwards. Curt came back later to do a final inspection and kindly showed me all the features on our new window. Through the whole process, everyone was confident, knowledgeable, and courteous. We hope to replace the rest of our windows in the next few years, and we'll definitely go with Twin Cities Siding Professionals again!"

"David was always available for questions. The work was done quickly. The roof looks great! I would definitely recommend his service."

"We had a low maintenance aluminum railing deck put up. The work was excellent. The crew was very polite. Austin was great to work with. Work was done on time and efficient. I would hire him again."

"I'm impressed with Tom from CAPITAL CITY EXTERIORS. He was more knowledgeable than his competitors especially about gutters and he took the time to make sure he gave us a quote for what we needed. He listened to what I had to say but also gave his expertise in a professional manner. He came out within the week to look at the work and returned a quote in a timely manner. The price is in line with their competitors. We chose colors and CAPITAL CITY EXTERIORS will start doing the work next week."

"I have worked with Dabella for windows and now a roof great people to work with.Jeff was our sale rep. very knowledgeable."

"Michael O?Leary and his team replaced our Asphalt Roof and we were extremely pleased with the results . His team was very professional and got the job done right and completed ? it on time. Very impressed with Michael who supported the project from day one."

"HW replaced my roof after a hail storm. This isn't necessarily unusual and the work performed was as expected. What is unusual, representing amazing customer service, is the willingness for the team at HW to come out and address items that cropped well over a year following the installation. These may or may not have been a result of the roof install, but in either event, the team fixed the issues with no question asked."
