"Pretty good. You get the personal service of dedicated lawn care at the price of those mediocre national franchises."

"I called them in March and explained that we already had someone who would do the initial weeding and mulching in the spring and we just needed somebody to come on a regular basis such as every two weeks during the summer and weed flower beds and trim shrubbery. Mr. Pugh said yes, they could do that and their rate was $35 an hour. He wanted to send someone out to get an initial look at my property. So we then had an appointment with a pleasant young man who arrived on time and looked over our yard, giving some helpful suggestions on care of boxwoods, etc. I made sure he understood that we already had someone lined up to do the initial weeding and mulching, but I said he could give a price for that also in case our regular man didn't show up. Upon leaving, he said I would receive an email with their prices. I received their email, which listed what I thought was a high price for the initial cleanup and some one-time services, and then quoted an hourly rate of $40 for regular maintenance plus travel time. I called again and spoke with Mr. Pugh, reminding him that he had quoted $35 an hour in our earlier phone call. He said okay, if that's what he said before, then he'll charge me $35 an hour and no travel time since they're close by. Then he said actually, after thinking about it, coming every two weeks is probably not a good fit for them. He said they like to do the whole nine yards including the initial work and then come every week for a monthly fee. I reminded him that I had made it very clear in our first phone call what I wanted, and he apologized and said he didn't think it through at first. So both he and his representative were pleasant, but this whole thing amounted to a good chunk of my time wasted, between phone calls and the appointment with his representative. I chose not to rate them with a "D" because I sense that they might in fact be good to work with if one's needs match what they want to do. I just wish Mr. Pugh had "thought it through" before putting us through all of this."

"My yard was the eye sore of the neighborhood with overgrown weeds, shrubs and yard waste. EJ’s team of three spent six hours making my lawn look great and I received admiration from my neighbors with the job they performed. Many thanks to EJ and the team who performed my service. They were very friendly and professional."

"Monthly lawn fertilizing and weeding began April 2019. Some weeds disappeared but spider weeds were never destroyed and cancelled the service in October 2020. Overseeding and aeration was done well and grass did grow but the grass in the sparse areas of the yard didn't grow well. I have clay soil and no one from the company discussed with me how to adjust the composition of the soil for better grass growth."

"Extremely responsive and a class act. We had an issue with ticks showing up since we moved to a house located next to a wooded lot. I found a tick on my 2 year old son and was upset. Lawn Dr sent out a service tech in 2 days to spray for fleas, ticks, grubs, bees, etc. I also decided to switch from VA Green to Lawn Dr to keep it one easy bill. I can't say enough about how happy I am so far. <br />"

"We're in our second season with Charlie Seay and Maurice and couldn't be happier. This trip was our second annual autumn lawn care ritual. Last year's ritual produced a lush green 'carpet' around our house when spring came. We are incredibly pleased with the resulting 'yard-istry' ! <br /> <br /> We took advantage of the opportunity to move the job up when Charlie called to tell us that rains were projected to move into the area. He and Maurice accomplished the cutting then the aeration and applied grass seed and fertilizer with a broadcast spreader. Not even 24 hours after the yard was completed, the rain soaked the newly-seeded lawn. Nice timing ! Next Charlie and Maurice will return to begin the weed treatments. <br /> <br /> We leave all things exterior in Charlie's hands - lawn care, gutter cleaning (esp. after Hurricane Irene), pressure washing, shrub/debris removal - the list goes on. It is always a pleasure to work with Charlie and Maurice and I can't wait to see the results in the spring time! <br /> <br />"

"<p>They showed up at 7:30 a.m. Polite, wonderful professionals. </p> <p>We spent much of that day watching professionals (his name is Rick) scramble up our trees to take down limbs that overhung our roof areas. These guys go up on ropes, not stakes. The cleanup was wonderful. Dunno what more I can say. This is a preliminary review - Bartlett will re-visit our property twice during April: once to provide soil care and fertilization; and during a second and to perform a foliage treatment for pest management. Bartlett's attention to detail is marvelous. The invoice for the first phase provided an exhaustive list of all of the work done, leaving us with a concise record for future reference.</p> <br />"
