"I hired Alan to replace a badly deteriorated garage floor and to install a parking pad next to the garage off an alley. When he came to the site to give the estimate he also pointed out some failed mortar joints and significant stair-step cracking along the rear wall. In all, he and his crew repaired multiple sections of old mortar and replaced a rusty lintel; removed the old concrete garage floor; prepared the garage and exterior parking pad, removing dirt and a tree; formed up the new 18x18 garage floor and 20x20 parking pad, with a 4' apron; and poured the new concrete with appropriate finishes. I am absolutely thrilled with the finished product. Alan and his crew were a delight to work with. He clearly communicated changes in plans to work around weather and set expectations on scheduling and how long it would be before the concrete would be ready to be parked on. The site was left clean and neat at the end of each day, and the substantial, unavoidable disruption of the alley was repaired at the end of each day to make it presentable and drivable. No damage was done to my property or neighboring properties. I expected the initial estimate to be significantly higher, yet Alan committed to it, and the only small changes were due to additional work I requested while they were there. June 2014 update:  Bill Worden provided a free seal coating on my driveway to compensate for the lackluster paving job.  The seal coat looks great, and I appreciate it.  Was a nice customer service gesture.  I would do business with them again.  Moral of the story is to lay asphalt during the warmer months, and hopefully they start paving in the morning while the asphalt is still hot.  If you are the second job of the day and they show up in the afternoon the asphalt may be cooler and may not go down as well.  Overall I had a good customer experience."
