Small jobs welcome

"They showed up at 1030am after having a 9am appointment. Granted there was snow days prior but roads were clear. After showing up late they decided to eat around 1130am. The cleaners were busy on their phone, chatting it up and clearly not focused or interested in the job at hand as I had to be behind them from their arrival till 5pm departure to make sure they actually did their jobs right. They would "finish a room" but then when i followed up it was a half ass job. They had one speed, and it was slow. Everytime i brought up an issue Guensly Cherenfant would state ill take care of it as to make it seem like he was doing me a favor. Very reactive and not proactive. Communication was done via WhatsApp as I was out of the country, very specific details and objectives were provided and the "boss" Guensly Cherenfant agreed to my request when the price was quoted. Then come time to do the work there was one excuse or another. When i told him i didnt trust him, he then proceeded to lie."

FAQs for post construction clean up projects in Harriman, NY

Plan on one hour of cleaning for every 100 to 200 square feet. That means a two-to-four-person crew will spend eight to 12 hours on a full-size home.

Your pro will walk the space first, size it up, and give you a more precise timeline to be sure every lofty ceiling, baseboard, and tight corner gets the same white-glove attention.

Cleaning fine dust after construction requires a combined approach of detailed dusting and high‐powered vacuuming. Begin by wiping high surfaces such as ceiling fans, walls, window sills, and countertops to eliminate deposited particles. Next, vacuum all floors, carpets, and hard surfaces and mop afterward to remove residual dust. Finally, clean HVAC returns, supply vents, and replace filters to ensure a completely dust‐free environment.

You’ll need safety gear and heavy-duty tools. At minimum, you should wear a respirator, eye protection, and work gloves. Then, bring in a HEPA-filter shop vac, wet mops, microfiber cloths, and a carpet shampooer to lift dust from every surface.

Pros also keep extra filters and trash bags on hand so they can swap them out mid-job and keep the cleanup running smoothly from start to finish.

Book your post-construction cleanup for one to two days after the last tool leaves the site. That 24- to 48-hour buffer lets dust settle so the crew can snag every speck in one visit.

Touch base with your contractor before you lock in a date; if their punch-list slips, you’ll want to shift the cleaning slot to avoid costly rescheduling and make sure the house is truly move-in ready.
